Our son recently started with no previous experience, and he has completely fallen in love with the sport. The coaches are fantastic with the children, creating a fun, encouraging and supportive environment. They provide great feedback throughout every session, and the coaching is excellent. It’s been wonderful to see how much his confidence and skills have grown already. We couldn’t be happier and would highly recommend Enso Jui Jitsu Club.
My 7-year-old son has been attending Enso Jiu Jitsu Academy Colchester for around three months now, and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough. The coaching team are fantastic, Will & Taylor are incredibly experienced, patient, and supportive with all of the children. I’ve seen a huge improvement in my son’s confidence, discipline, and overall development in such a short space of time. In fact, I’ve been so impressed that I’m about to introduce my eldest son to the sport as well. I would strongly recommend it to any parent looking for a positive and encouraging environment for their children to learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
My son attends this dojo/academy. The training sessions are three times a week, for either 45mins or an hour, well worth the monthly subscription fees. The teachers are brilliant with the kids and as well as teach them skills in the sport, they teach togetherness as an academy with healthy constructive criticism and encouragement. My son loves going, even if he knows he is going to be worked hard. If you have shy or timid children they manage to involve them also and each child is catered for according to their skill levels. Regular incentives and rewards are offered each session with certificates and games played for fun, praise and recognition, its not all hard work. I’m genuinely happy with this academy and would highly recommend it if you are considering it for your children.
Trained there for 8 months so far, everyone is of a high level of competency thanks to the world class instruction from Taylor Pearman and his team. Friendly bunch too! Both my children are training there too, fantastic fun and a great workout 😄💪

Without doubt the best BJJ gym in Essex!! My family and I have only just made the switch over to Enso, but I can tell you that it’s the highest level of teaching and training we have come across and we have trained all over the world. I doesn't matter if you’re a hobbyist or a serious competitor, they can cater to your needs. Everyone is friendly and the professors and coaches are of the highest standard. You will learn top level jujitsu from one of the best black belt competitors in the world.
Posted 2 years agoI've done BJJ very sporadically over 10years and been to a lot of gyms, and this is the best place I've ever trained! Never loved Jiu Jitsu as much as I do now! World class coaching!
Posted 2 years agoMaybe you have Googled Jiu Jitsu gyms near me, or you are looking to get into martial arts. Either way, look no further. This is the best facility to train Jiu Jitsu in the area. Whatever your level you will find a home on these mats.
The instructors are not only highly skilled but also incredibly patient and supportive. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly, making it a great place for both beginners and experienced practitioners. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, and the class schedule is convenient. I've seen significant improvement in my technique and fitness since joining, and I can't recommend this gym enough!!!
Posted 3 years agoJoined in Jan 2023 and found a Good group...and very welcoming...and will accommodate everyone's levels.. Instructors are very good and lead by Example. Taylor the main instructor ...we all look up to him as he is very good and a natural champion...!!!
