We absolutely love this martial arts academy! Our 8yr old has been attending since Jan 25, and the progress we’ve seen is incredible. He just tested and passed for his yellow belt. Coach Sifu Kevin is fantastic with the kids, he's encouraging, patient, firm when needed to keep everyone safe, and truly passionate about ensuring they know how to defend themselves and get out of various situations including bullying and kidnapping. Our son is excited to attend and learn. Hands down recommend to every parent wanting to build confidence, focus, and physical fitness in their child.

I enrolled in this school a little over a year and a half ago with only a basic interest in martial arts and it was one of the best decisions I have made. Having no real training, I was pleasantly surprised at how approachable and plain fun learning martial arts can be even for someone not talented or particularly skilled like myself. Hard work and regular training have played their parts in my growth but that growth would not have been possible without someone to teach and guide; that's where Sifu Kevin comes in. Having trained martial arts for longer than some of his students have even been alive, Sifu Kevin is a walking compendium of martial arts knowledge. And his already massive pool of knowledge is ever-increasing as he constantly looks for new ways to improve his skills. For example, he recently earned his fifth black belt and the week following his promotion to black belt he had already enrolled in a new style of martial arts to start training. He is truly a life long learner. But skills alone do not make a good teacher. Thankfully he is also an exceptional instructor. Patient and genuine, he excels at observing his students and providing concise yet detailed instructions on how to improve form and techniques. His cross training in multiple arts allows him to advise from different fundamental approaches and formulate more efficient tactics for his students that someone who trains only one art may not have thought of. He makes the classes engaging and worthwhile so that no matter your talent or skill level, you are always learning and improving. Class sizes are very reasonable and you can expect to receive direct coaching from him during class time. The students of the school have all been very kind and considerate in my time there and new students who enroll are always welcomed. Additionally the school is kept very clean and sanitary, which I greatly appreciate. Prices are a flat monthly rate (varying by enrollment period) for access to all classes of all styles taught. I highly encourage cross training if it interests you. Lastly, the class schedule is very accommodating for working adults with evening classes starting at 6:30pm. I cannot recommend this school enough and can confidently say that enrolling has had a positive effect on my life. I hope you give it a try and experience the same result.

My friend and I joined the elite academy together as complete beginners in martial arts. We did a lot of research before settling on Elite, and this was a 100% worthwhile experience. Sifu Kevin is well-versed in all the arts and is extremely patient! He is very detail-oriented, with a great curriculum set up for every level! In addition, to practice in class, Sifu always takes the time to explain why we do certain things and include real-life applications. The classes consisted of both upperclassmen and beginners, but it was not intimidating at all! The more advanced students are extremely kind, which makes us feel welcome! It's always a pleasure practicing with them since they motivate us to get better. Elite Academy is a valuable experience for all levels! Amazing atmosphere! The instructor is very student centered and makes sure to always differentiate instruction amongst the group. The fact that they also learn how to respond when they are faced with real world situations (bullies, potential danger, etc) is what really attracted us to this location. This was the first martial arts experience for our daughter and she loves it. She is excited to go and comes home ready to show us all she has learned. She even practices on her own. Sifu Kevin’s knowledge and attention to detail are second to none. You’re not just learning how to do certain techniques, but also the “why” and “when” to use them in specific situations. Sifu Kevin has a wonderful demeanor. I learned a lot about self awareness, paying attention to my surroundings and how to anticipate potential danger. With self defense it seems important to know when it might be best to escape but also if needed to position yourself for the best possible defense from an attacker. Elite Academy offers many different styles and I loved that I could try any of the other styles of defense if I wanted; I wasn’t committed to only one martial art philosophy while there. 5 stars!

Sifu Kevin has been a huge pleasure to work with. He is very patient and adapts your training based on your skill level. He is a no BS kind of guy and is always honest. I respect that about him alot. One of the biggest benefits to the training is that Sifu Kevin allows us to spar after every class session. I have been to a few Dojo's in my life and unless you practice what you are being taught, you can never improve. Every other Dojo ive been to, simply shows you the technique but never puts you in a live situation t apply it and practice it. Applying what you learn in a real time sparring match, put's you in the most realistic training scenario possible. Sifu Kevin does not simply throw us to the wolves but allows beginners to take in slow. In fact he makes you start off slow. No Ego's allowed in this Dojo. He watches us while we spar to see what we need to improve on. Again he adapts his training to each student. I cant recommend him enough. If you come here to train, he will not waste your time or money.

I was a complete beginner when I started training at EAMA. Sifu Kevin is always mindful of different training levels of students within a class, working on basic techniques for beginner students while practicing more advanced techniques with more experienced students. He puts a lot of emphasis on safety while training. He follows a well structured curriculum for each of the martial art forms he teaches and is always open for questions on anything. It was very helpful for me to understand the reason behind every move and how they developed. He also has a wealth of knowledge about the history of various forms of martial arts and their evolution over time. I mainly focused on Kali and Muay Thai and had a great experience learning both. My son really likes Elite Academy and I love it for him. Along with the martial arts training the kids learn to focus and have discipline. The younger class has ‘Stranger Danger’ scenarios they have to work through and act out. I was surprised how unprepared my child was when he first began. Coach Le discusses every decision they make along the way so they understand and relate it to real world situations. It’s a great class! Plus I love telling people he takes Bruce Lee created Jeet Kune Do. Lol It’s a gem to have in Tucker.

Sifu Kevin and Elite Academy of Martial Arts are awesome!! Both my son and I are students there. Sifu is an excellent teacher. The class sizes are small enough where you don't feel lost and when you need some additional instruction, Sifu is patient enough to help you not only understand how to do something, but how to do it with excellence! I had my son in other martial arts programs and, to be honest, they seemed to just "pass" him along to the next belt without him really understanding what he was doing. I've seen Sifu challenge the kids class to excel. He doesn't just "pass" his students along. He makes sure they understand what they are doing, but he does it with a tremendous amount of patience and grace. This way, the graduation to another belt has more impact on the student (as well as the observant parent). I highly recommend Elite Academy of Martial Arts.

Words can only mean so much, but I pray you can sense the emotion behind these. There is no better place to be than this Elite Academy. Martial Arts, is an art, and Sifu Kevin is a master craftsman. He welds a blend of intellect, spirit, and strength and uses it to build upon, and within, his students; by constructing a class that fosters growth on every level. This, in turn, trains within you a masterpiece that towers in your spirit. I am a former marine, casino security officer, and nurse, but a brand new martial artist. This Academy has brought me in and accepted me as a part of their community, and has provided growth in the art, but also has taught me lessons in life through Sifu's wisdom. I strongly recommend this Academy no matter what level of fear, experience, knowledge, and/or reason you have against joining. Great school, there is a lot of variety in classes, and once you're signed up you can show up as often as you like to any of them. Sifu Kevin Le is a very good instructor, and is always willing to give you pointers to keep you learning no matter what level you're at. Class sizes are fairly small most of the time, so you have lots of chances to get very specific feedback on what you're doing right and how you can improve. Also, sparring is pretty frequent here so you can get a chance to try out whatever you've learned in a safe environment, as well as be exposed to new techniques. All around it's a great experience, I've been going for several months now and I always enjoy it whenever I can be there to train.

As one of the newer students, I am very impressed. The first aspect that was brought to my attention was the cost. You pay monthly for all access. Allowing you to take any class at no extra cost. There's also multiple classes of each discipline a week. Other places I've looked into have only one class a week for the same price. The classes are a great size that allow a lot of individual input from Sifu Kevin Le. The other students are all very welcoming and go the extra mile to help with form while running drills. I highly recommend the kali classes here.

What a great total package: martial arts, stranger danger and bully training! We wanted our daughter who is 7 to learn martial arts and feel that we are getting so much more. After the martial arts portion which lasts 30 minutes, they spend 10 minutes going through real life stranger danger or bully scenarios. They practice what they will say and do. They end with fun games that he lets the kids choose. They particularly love this part.

Great school! The instructors are very patient and take the time to both critique as well as " correct" any inconsistencies and weaknesses in training. I was also surprised to learn that once you join that any of the 5 arts taught at the school, can be attended throughout the week at no additional cost. I also researched the styles taught at the academy before joining, and realized they all compliment each other which as a plus... rather than learn a myriad of styles that don't necessarily meld well together. Sifu is the most knowledgeable teacher I've ever come across (I've trained Hapkido/Krav Maga in the past at 4 gyms total). He is not only an expert on the subjects he teaches, but of the whole of martial arts in general. He approaches martial arts as a true art form, giving you the tools to apply in a way that make sense to your own style and way of thinking/learning. Not to mention, he's funny to boot :-) Sparring in his gym is treated with total respect, giving you a true opportunity to test your abilities in a safe and controlled environment. His approach to weaving this into his lessons has taught me more about martial arts in 2 months than I've learned in years of training at past gyms/dojos. Fellow students are extremely respectful and helpful for newcomers. I've never felt that any student has an air of "experience" or "superiority", which can be felt sometimes in other gyms. There is a sense of comradery that helps not only in training, but in small talk in the changing room afterwards. I am greatly looking forward to continued training here, and will stay at this gym for as long as I am in Atlanta.

The classes fit into my schedule quit easily. Instructor, Sifu Kevin Le is affective, skilled and focused on the principles of martial arts. Sifu Kevin teaches realistically, with clear expertise of the arts he teaches, and overall makes coming to class a rewarding experience. I feel like I learn something new every class. The gym is well maintained, too. And perhaps the most important aspect that won me over: you will be pushed without being hurt. I jumped in headfirst expecting to have to struggle to keep up with the curriculum and my senior students. However, Sifu Kevin makes it very clear from the beginning that safety comes first and hurting yourself or your fellow students is not going to help you learn or be good right off the bat. Overall, I feel like I’ve learned a lot in my less than a month at Elite Academy of Martial Arts, and to anyone looking to learn how to defend themselves, exercise, or just learn something new in a positive environment, I’d highly recommend taking Sifu Kevin’s classes.

Sifu Kevin is an amazing instructor - his patience and ability to walk students through difficult concepts is second-to-none. Elite Academy is not a huge school, and that's a very good thing. The small class sizes give Sifu Kevin the ability to work with students at their level, as well as the flexibility to tailor the class based on student needs. The Elite Academy of Martial Arts (EAMA) offers training in a variety of martial arts and a membership offers students the opportunity to cross train in the different martial arts in a friendly but disciplined atmosphere. Sifu Kevin Le is very knowledgeable and clear in his instructions, has excellent attention to detail, and works with each student to ensure that they understand the concepts and train safely. Similarly, the EAMA's other instructors are also very knowledgeable and patient and work with the students at their level. Additionally, EAMA provides a curriculum for each art so that the student understands the topics required to advance to the next level. My daughter loves going to the class and i love bringing her. Sifu Kevin Le takes his time to teach the children and pays attention to each child. He’ not only teach defense techniques but also teaches how should they react with bully and strangers. He allows them to play games before the end of class. My daughter has been with junior dragons class for 2 months but I noticed she has more confidence and active. EAMA is the greatest activity I have found for my children. They look forward to every class. They have participated in various sports and activities over the years, and this is the first activity they have never ever wanted to miss. Not only do they love it, I do as well. Sifu Kevin is wonderful with the kids. He teaches them martial arts in addition to real life skills. The classes are affordable and at a good time. I have been doing Martial Arts for a long time and I have to say I really respect and appreciate what Sifu Kevin is doing with his school. He teaches many different styles and shows excellent proficiency with each of them. He takes his time with his students and always is up for helping them improve. He will start with correcting major things at first and as you advance, he will begin to nit pick at minor details, which proves to me that he genuinely cares about his students well being and progression. One of the most important things I and many other look at with any martial art, is practicality. Sifu Kevin makes a point that his students spar no matter which style they choose to learn. He will start you low and slow, then as you progress the sparring does intensify with you. This will build you to be a much better fighter in the long run. Last thing to discuss is costs and you get what you pay for in this school. Other schools will charge you their monthly rate for x amount of classes and for only one style. At EAMA you can attend as many classes as you want and as many styles as you want for the same monthly rate. You cannot beat that! Overall, awesome school and Sifu Kevin is a good guy with a world of experience that he wants to share.

I can not say enough about Elite Academy of Martial Arts! From Sifu the instructor, to the other students I have met there, I have been continually impressed, encouraged and engaged by the instruction and atmosphere. I am blind and have wanted to take some form of Martial Arts training for a very long time, but was unsure about which one, or where, or even If it was practical for me. From the very beginning Sifu was patient and careful in his descriptions and suggestions for me, and this continued into the actual classes themselves. I couldn’t have envisioned (in my mind’s eye) or hoped to have such an incredible experience or instructor. Sifu seemed to become very comfortable with training a blind student very quickly and constantly impressed me with his knowledge and ability to adapt his teaching style. He was always ready to explain and demonstrate techniques in various ways until I understood and was able to perform them myself. All of this is to say that Sifu is the ideal instructor: open, inviting, honest and patient. In addition, the other students I have met are always helpful, supportive and a great source of expertise and information themselves. I was a little concerned that I might slow the pace of class down a bit, being not only a beginner, but also blind and asking numerous questions. But the other students were incredibly gracious and supportive and quickly made me feel comfortable and welcome. I regret that I only attended for about 6 months and then work became so busy that I had to take a break, but I plan to return and would strongly encourage others to try this place out!

Great school and excellent teacher. Sifu Kevin Le is very patient, easy to understand and has a vast amount of knowledge. I've had around 8 years of previous martial arts training and in my experience he is an excellent teacher. Also, I really like the fact the school offers different classes at various times throughout the week. In this way, it gives greater flexibility in my scheduling and allows me to take more classes. Check out the website and look at the weekly schedule. Its really great! Update: I am now going on my 3rd year at the school and thought it would be a good time to give an update. The quality of the teaching has remained at a high level. Sifu Kevin continues to keep classes fresh, fun and challenging. I chose this school because it is the only martial arts school I've found that had morning/ early afternoon classes which is good for me because I usually work night shift. Also it is convenient to where I live in Clarkston. Hopefully he continues to have classes at those times. I've only been going like a month and a half now. It has been tough yet fun so far it seems as if he really wants you to learn the proper way. He can be a tough cookie at times but I guess you just have to warm up to him. He definitely seems like the real deal. I would definitely recommend this Academy to a friend.

I visited several schools all around Atlanta before I decided that Elite Academy of Martial Arts was the school for me. Sifu Kevin Le is an exceptional instructor and his experience in both traditional martial arts and the real world application of them is outstanding. The school and classes are run efficiently and professionally and it really feels like a family. Everyone attending is like-minded in maintaining a safe but learning environment. There are no aggressive egos here and Sifu Kevin genuinely wants his students to grow and be proficient in self defense strategies. My 2 kids and I have been training with Sifu Kevin Lee for roughly 2 years. I cannot say enough good things about his teaching style. He is patient and understands the difficulty for new students and the fact that students develop at different speeds, while at the same time expects that you listen and try your hardest. Sifu Kevin has been an absolute pleasure to work with. I started training in Muay Thai with him about 3 months ago, and since starting I've grown even more fond of martial arts. I eventually plan on studying Wing Chun at Elite Academy as well. The environment is welcoming and all of the students were very helpful in my adjustment as I learned the basics. He's firm enough in his teaching techniques to push you beyond your comfort zone, without making it feel like he's trying to break you as some dojo's do. What I appreciate most is that his teaching goes beyond the physical, technical element of your particular practice and into the deeper, more humbling elements of what martial arts should represent. I signed up for a year after I watched two of his classes in person, and I'm very satisfied with my progress, thanks to his instruction. I have trained at Elite Academy of Martial Arts for a year and a half now, and attend the Wing Chun and Jeet Kune Do classes. You are encouraged to cross train with unlimited access to each of the different martial arts. Sifu Kevin Le is extremely knowledgeable, patient, genuine, has a great attitude, and is helpful. He expects you to hold yourself accountable and put in the work to achieve your full potential, but is also keenly aware of where each student is individually. You are only expected to work towards doing better than you did the day before, and there is no competition between the different people that practice there. The atmosphere is one of mutual respect, and it's a comfortable learning environment. There is a core curriculum for advancement, however, we also learn moves and practice situations for real world application beyond the curriculum. I really enjoy training under Sifu Kevin and with everyone that attends. Now that I've hit 30 I find that it takes a lot more stretching time than when I was younger so I arrive early during the kid classes to stretch. I'm consistently impressed with the values and patience that Sifu imparts to those kids beyond self defense, and I've seen them grow and progress over time into even better people. It's NOT a martial arts factory with huge classes just pumping out belts. Sifu only accepts students who are respectful and will contribute towards a healthy and fun learning environment. I highly recommend this academy.

The good: Teacher knows his stuff. This is not a McDojo or anything like that. The bad: Not beginner friendly at all. In fact, in my experience, the teacher seems like he very much dislikes having to deal with beginners. Many times I came to class excited to learn, only to leave feeling embarrassed and demotivated. It's one thing to be tough and not let mistakes fly (this is fine), but that is very different from constantly making your students feel like idiots for not knowing something. Seriously, at first I was so excited to start training here. But I could only make it about six months before the negative teaching style completely turned me off. I've moved onto other schools and am much happier and learning a lot more.
