Eagle Rock Jiu-Jitsu is an amazing Jiu-Jitsu Gym. Whether your goals are to learn self defense, lose weight or compete, Professor Rapha (Gym owner and head coach) will guide you down the right path. This is a no ego Gym. It is a close knit environment, everyone looks out for each other. Visitors are always welcome, feel free to stop by, ask some questions, and watch a class :)

I’ve been training here for a little under two years and can honestly say it is one of the most welcoming, supportive, and accepting gyms I’ve ever been a part of. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and teach to each individuals level of experience. The other members are extremely welcoming, respectful, and kind. This gym promotes respect and kindness while also challenging the students to push past their own perceived limits. In short, it has been such a gift to train here and I encourage any who are curious to try it out.

I’ve been training at Eagle Rock Jiu Jitsu for about a year now, and it's been great. The instructors are very knowledgeable and are super passionate about BJJ. They provide great training for everyone, whether you're just starting out or have been doing this for a while. There's a perfect mix of challenge and support here. The vibe is super welcoming and inclusive, and there's a real sense of community. Everyone's friendly, respectful, and always willing to help each other get better. The instructors break down complex moves into simple steps, making sure you get the basics before moving on to more advanced stuff. This approach has seriously boosted my skills and confidence on the mat. Always a great time watching my son learn new skills at eagle rock Jiu-Jitsu academy. My son has been attending ERJJA for approximately a year and a half now and he loves it. Professor Rafael, professor James and coach Elijah are great instructors. They are patient, highly trained and skilled in jiu jitsu, and it shows consistently every session. My son (5yr old) has shown increased confidence, increased social skills, discipline, increased attention, increased compassion towards others, and love how honest he is, all thanks to Eagle rock Jiu-Jitsu academy. If you're thinking about trying out, you definitely should. First class is free.

I’ve known Professor Raphael for almost 13 years and can personally testify that his jiu jitsu game is incredibly elite. More importantly, he’s an amazing teacher who cares for his students and knows how to properly convey the important details of any techniques or concept. I highly recommend that anyone in LA looking to get started or improve their jiu jitsu should start training with Professor Raphael. Anytime I’m back home in California, I’ll be back at Eagle Rock Jiu-Jitsu to train!

Been going here a while and it is my comfortable home base. Rapha is a great and patient instructor, everyonethere is really nice and great with beginners. Peaceful place that welcomes all colors with a good mix of belt levels.

This hidden gem is centrally located. I had the pleasure of seeing Raphael instructing members during a group session. Raphael is extremely focused on sharing his expertise to his students. We are hooked on this place!!! The rates for private and group lessons are very reasonable. This is worth looking into. Studio has a great vibe.

I am 66 years old, and going into my fourth month of training! It has been a great experience. The instructors are knowledgeable and patient, all the upper belts and the students help as much as possible. I really recommend the school. You can not go wrong!!!
