Clarissa Coppa has a background in recruitment and client relations and has trained in mixed martial arts and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for over 10 years. She has competed in high-level tournaments, taught jiu jitsu for schools in the UAE, and is UAEJJF Master 1 World Champion at brown/black category.

Marcelo and Clarissa are amazing teachers and have real passion for the art. This is an amazingly welcoming team for all abilities and levels, and its a great sport for anyone is is looking to learn to defend themself, get fit, lose weight, or just try something new. We are lucky enough to have one of the best martial arts teachers in the world right on our doorstep, it would be silly not to take advantage of that!

Marcelo is a very well established figure in the UK BJJ scene as well as internationally. Not only is he a great instructor but he's also a well known head-referee. I have learnt a lot from Marcelo over the years and he continues to teach me now. I cannot recommend him enough. Him and his wife are professional as well as caring. Great BJJ academy put simply!

I have been training with Marcelo for just over 10 months and have had a great experience. The club is very friendly and Marcelo & Clarissa have high level experience in all aspects of BJJ. I highly recommend coming along. There is a variety of people, ages and experience. I feel that I am improving every class!

When I found out about Coppa BJJ School, I was over the moon and also a little bit nervous about joining a new martial arts group. Turns out I worried for no reason. I was made to feel extremely welcomed into their Jiu jitsu family. Everyone there is so helpful and friendly. Marcelo and Clarissa are incredibly passionate instructors and the self defence and Jiu Jitsu techniques I’ve learnt from them in such a short time are unbelievable. Not forgetting the fitness and strength levels have also been improved. If you’re interested in the idea of a martial arts class, I couldn’t recommend Coppa BJJ school enough. 🥋

Marcello & Clarissa are some of the best BJJ instructors I have come across in several countries. They are very welcoming to all ages and skill levels, and have built a family of BJJ lovers in the area. If you are a beginner or experienced, you will feel welcome and challenged. Ossssssss
