After 17 months of training at this gym, I can confidently say it has been an amazing journey. The coach here is not just skilled but also truly inspiring, always pushing us to exceed our limits while maintaining a supportive and positive environment. The students, my training partners, are THE BEST groups of individuals who share a passion for MMA and a dedication to improving together. The sense of community is strong, and I've felt welcomed since day one. Really a family If you ask me. The classes are diverse, challenging, and rewarding, and I've seen significant improvements in my skills and fitness level. You can truly feel the love here. If you're looking for a place that offers top-notch training and a family-like atmosphere, this is the place to be. I love it here and highly recommend it to anyone interested in martial arts, regardless of their skill level

I recently started practicing jiu-jitsu at Combat Fitness, and I have to say, I'm absolutely loving it! The work ethic and welcoming environment of the class are exceptional. The coach is highly skilled but also incredibly respectful, empathetic, and knowledgeable. Their guidance and expertise have made my experience even enjoyable and rewarding.

I’ve trained here for a year and I’ve had nothing but positive memories and things to say. You not only learn martial arts but how to be a better person. Coach and the team are great. You learn so much about yourself and build Your character by training. If you’re a beginner I definitely recommend starting with this gym. For personal reasons I’ve been gone for some months but I miss the people here and training everyday. Great environment and training. My first time competing I brought home two gold medals, that should be enough proof to show you how great Coach and the team are!

Edit: Having been at the gym for over 6 years now, I'd like to add my new perspective. Original review down below. As a small (105lb) female, I appreciate more than I can say being able to train safely. Coach Graeme not only fosters a fun, safe space to learn, gain skills and confidence, and grow as people; he actively protects us from those who come in with bully mentality. Knowing that sort of energy is not tolerated and is swiftly dealt with provides immense peace of mind. We train hard, but we also train safe. Anyone who trains a martial art will tell you there's no room for both growth and ego, you have to let go of the latter to gain the former. That is very much the culture here. From the moment I first walked in the door I knew Combat Fitness was a quality place to train. Coach Graeme Prue runs his classes efficiently and engagingly, so that no matter your experience or skill level you can walk away from every class having learned something. Whether you want to train mixed martial arts as a serious competitor, just get in shape and learn some skills while you're at it, learn practical self defense for everyday life, or all of the above; whatever your starting point and goals this is a place you can learn to achieve them. From the get-go everyone is welcoming and friendly, and at the end of every class we thank our training partners for being there for each other. It's a supportive and safe environment to learn combat sports and self defense, with philosophies like "Play and do no harm" and respect for everyone on the mat as cornerstones you see every day. All skill levels, backgrounds and walks of life are treated equally and with respect. You couldn't find better anywhere in the world. Fun, safe, and incredibly effective training for anyone and everyone who comes to learn. Absolutely recommend! 12 out of 5 stars 🌟

I love this place, I trained here for around 2-3 months, I feel bad that I disappeared without saying goodbye to the coach or anyone but it was a really great place for me and anyone else looking forward to train. I started during the summer last year, I was depressed, lonely, and isolated just being in my room all day just doing basic things, wake up, eat, talk to myself alone, video games, work out, eat, workout, talk to myself even more, and sleep. I then joined eventually out of the thought of starting to learn and improve to defend myself, AND I LOVED IT, doing jiu jitsu and mma helped me get physically and especially mentally better, I would never forget the feeling you get by going every day and getting slightly better every single day you train, just leveling up like a video game character but in real life lol. But overall I love this place, starting martial arts is definitely life changing and I will continue to train in my new town, and I’ll always keep something very small but important my coach told me one time when I was frustrated of making mistakes “Don’t have a negative mindset to hurt yourself and say ‘DAMN I MESSED UP!’ Have a positive mindset and say ‘I messed up, but I’ll do better’ and learn to do better” I’ll always remember this
