Sean and Teri are AMAZING instructors! I was admittedly not great when starting out, but the community was so supportive and I was able to get personal feedback on my form. The class was fun and it felt good to exercise and learn self defence at the same time. :) I wish I lived local, because I would definitely come back

I can't say enough good things about this place! Professor's Sean and Teri provide very thorough instruction, making sure to take time with each student from complete beginner to advanced, to ensure that they are understanding and applying the techniques properly. The culture and family dynamic that is fostered makes everyone feel welcome and valued. They are also very centered around safety awareness and making sure that everyone goes home healthy to train another day.

Love this place. If you are lucky enough to have grappled at many gyms then you will know this is an excellent place. The professors and coaches have always been kind to me. They have clear helpful instruction for new beginners during periods of instruction and experienced grapplers for all levels to practice with. Open mat is so great because of the tone that's set at the beginning of the matches. You can pick who ever you want to roll with, you can say no at any time with out having to give a reason, and respect and safety are paramount. Literally all we ask for from each other. 5 star gym bar none.

By far the best school in Colorado! I couldn’t have had a better experience during my time at this school. The level of instruction, quality of training partners and overall vibe of the gym were all top notch. Egos are left at the door and the treat everyone like family. If I hadn’t moved across the country I would still be training there and you can bet that anytime I find myself back in Denver I will be dropping in. 10/10

Been to a few gyms and this is the best gym I been to. It takes me time to learn things and Terri was phenomenal. The last gyms I been to I always felt like an idiot when I left. I'm not over exaggerating when I say Terri was phenomenal. She has a way of explaining things were I understand and she does it in a simple way. If you have kids Terri is great instructor. She has big mommy vibes and is very welcoming. This place is great I dont feel the condescending, arrogant feeling other gyms give off. It's a all around great learning environment.

From the kiddo that participated: I liked how nice the instructors are and how they are good at explaining and then showing how to do moves. A lot of good and positive encouragement for me while I am a beginner even though I am a wrestler, a lot of this is new stuff for me. From Malachi(8y/o) From Parent (Dad)- As a wrestling coach of 6U new wrestlers, I know how challenging it can be to coach kids new to sports. These instructors are great with kids. Even though our son is a soon to be 4th year wrestler and he knows a lot of ground work, I thought he would greatly benefit from Ji-Jitu, for close combat and takedown skills. These two sports go hand in hand. The instructors are very good at explaining the skills to students new to the sport while also taking into consideration other skills they know from other sports like our son. They took the extra time to assist the new students to keep them engaged. We only were able to complete 3 sessions at the Satori and hopefully we can get back there when our finances allow it. They are worth the price for the experience the students gain. Dyllan L.

I’ve been training at CBJJ for almost 4 years now and it has become my second home. Everyone sincerely cares about each other’s evolution not only in jiu jitsu but as becoming an all around better human being. Professor Sean Stewart and Don Westman have created an environment that is proven to create champions. Whatever level you are in jiu jitsu, a beginner or a black belt I will always recommend CBJJ. Oh and the Muay Thai and MMA is excellent as well.

Honestly I can't say enough good things about this place. Terri, Don and Sean are some of the best people I know and cater to all learning styles. They do a great job in breaking down the moves and explaining proper technique. They will work with you to build your skills and to feel confident in self defense. Also, this place really is a judgement free zone, everyone here is a family and will know you by name. When I first started I was definitely intimidated, especially as a non athletic woman in a predominantly male sport. However, even on my first day I was welcomed with nothing but kindness and encouragement and I'm still here a year and a half later. If anyone is even thinking about trying MMA training I ALWAYS recommend this gym.

Location: CBJJ Satori is easy to find via Google Maps. There is ample parking in a well lit lot. It is less than 5 minutes away from the Shops at Northfield and less than a half hour from the airport. Facility: Always clean and well kept. Mats are mopped before and after classes. It is well ventilated , sporting a vaulted ceiling and large roll up door to allow for great air circulation for classes held mornings, afternoon and evenings. There is a weekly women’s only class and three times weekly youth classes. Instructors: Black Belts Sean Stewart, Teri Stewart and Don Westman head an amazing team that teaches the fundamentals, advanced techniques and competition preparation. They oversee an environment and culture that promotes continued learning and excellence. Respect for teammates and the sport runs deep at CBJJ Satori.

You won’t find higher quality instruction or a better community to train BJJ. Professors Sean, Teri, Don and Gregg will equip you with the skills to defend yourself, win on the world stage, or just provide an excellent workout, depending on your goals. The community is a family. I cannot recommend the school strongly enough!
