Master Koo is a phenomenal teacher. We have tried many different kinds of early childhood classes and we have not encountered anyone as skilled as Master Koo! He makes our 3-year-old feel welcome, confident, and cared for and is teaching him more than just the physical skills, but also how to be a good listener, a kind person, and a respectful member of a community. Our weekend Taekwondo class has become the highlight of the week for our family. We are very grateful to Master Koo, his helpers, and his class.

My son loves his taekwondo class! It’s super fun, engaging, energetic and very well ran. Master Koo is a gem! Everyone loves him. He’s great with the kids of all ages, he’s funny, engaging and sooo nice. On Fridays they sometimes have events for the kids. We signed up for the whole year and we love it!

Master Koo has an amazing talent with keeping the 4-5 yr olds focused!! At times, the adults in the room will speak loud (I'm not sure if they're truly aware on how rude that is), and quite frankly i feel it could be semi disruptive to the students, however, they remain fixated on Master Koo. He is very polite, patient, will answer all your questions in a timely manner, as well as keeping it playful with the students. The cost of the class is very reasonable and worth it; the children develops a positive self esteem. This school works pretty well with any schedule which is another positive.
I enrolled my 10 year old in January 2021 for physical activity and socialization as well as all the benefits martial arts teaches such as self discipline, coordination, self defense, focus, having a goal to reach the next belt or a long term goal to reach black belt, respect, self improvement, etc. My son continues to benefit from all of the above and more than I expected. Master Koo promotes and models professionalism, kindness, hard work, politeness, encouragement, cooperation, patience, transparency, and a genuine sincerity. In my son's words, he says this is a fun way to learn martial arts and feels proud of himself for what he has accomplished in class. All the students are welcoming and supportive of each other and foster competition in a positive way all due to the leadership of Master Koo. My son is initially shy and after the first month now looks forward to going to his classes each week. I would highly recommend this class for all children.

Too good to be true. I just signed up 12-months program for my 6 years old and it’s the best thing I could do for her during Pandemic. Few weeks ago, Champion Martial Art offered free trail classes for my daughter’s school and we tried it for the first time. My daughter told me she likes the class and wish to train everyday. I thought she was joking. She asked me to stay for the second class and watch her practice and Right away I understood why. It’s Master Koo. He is young but experienced. Funny but teach you confidence and politeness at the same time. He is the reason why we are confident to sign up for 12 months program even though we have never visited the school. He told us that we can visit the school anytime and practice with him in person(with mask of course). I explained my concerns with Covid and that we can only do online classes for now. He clearly has experience of teaching in person and online. We received the uniform in the mail within a week of signing up. we are looking forward for this long journey with learning from Master Koo. THANK YOU, SIR !

Enrolling my child in martial arts wasn’t something I had planned on doing, especially not at 5 and especially not during a pandemic but My little one showed interest after a demonstration at the park and so we opted for the 4 class free trail. She and I immediately loved the program and eventually signed up for the 1 year program. 2 classes a week are more than enough especially with a busy schedule. The program allows you to pick which days you attend and alternate your days without any commitments. Co-Vid safety measures are always taken, from mask wearing to social distancing and to sanitizing. Before entering the training area and after touching any equipment the children are pushed to sanitize. Master koo makes the class extremely enjoyable for the children. He manages to turn training into an extremely fun time for the little ones. I would highly recommend his class to anyone. My daughter is always telling all her friends about how her classes went and how she can’t wait for her next class! They also offer birthday parties, which I have not yet done but my little one wants to this year and I’m sure her friends will love it just as much as she loves his class. For anyone in the lower east side area I recommend looking into this tae Kwon do class with master koo. You will not regret it!
Master Koo is very caring for the kids and a great role model. The class not only involves physical workout but also trains good attitude and discipline. He is very patient with all the kids and gives so much love to every single one of them. The gym is always clean and meets the covid health regulations. Anyone who is thinking about joining taekwondo, you should give this location a try.
My 3 years old son walked across the street and saw the big banner. I never thought I would send my son to learn martial arts at this age. After my research, we decided to visit the studio. Master Koo greeted us. While he was with a student, he gave me his number and asked me to text him with any questions. He is very polite and quick with responding on questions from covid precautions to training schedules. He offered trial classes for my son, so we tried it out. My son really enjoyed it and I enjoyed watching him train with Master Koo. He cares for his students and he is very patient. He is a role model and good coach. My son looks forward to training every week. My son would beg me to stay after class, so he can watch the older boys and girls train. All the kids are always well behave. Master Koo not only trains them on their physical abilities, but also disciplines them. They go over 5 rules at each class and he always remind them to listen to their parents and be nice to their brothers, sisters, etc. After 3 classes, we decided to join the 1 year membership without hesitation. The studio is always clean. Master Koo makes sure all the kids takes off their shoes and uses hand sanitizer before entering the mat. I see him constantly wiping and sanitizing his equipments. If you’re looking for an after school or Saturday program for you kids, don’t hesitate to reach out to Master Koo.
Master Koo is a very funny person. He is very patient.If we don't understand anything, he will tell us patiently.
