Great Master Yu and instructors. There is always high energy and the atmosphere is always conducive to learning. The teaching is also great, so everything is very easy to learn. Even if you are having trouble, the master Yu and instructors provide an incredible amount of support to get you to where you need to be. This has been the best experience for my daughter, keeps her active, helps learn to focus and builds confidence. They are the BEST!

Champ martial arts is an amazing place for kids to learn taekwondo and self defense. They provide an amazing afterschool and summer camp program that all kids would enjoy. Master Yu is an awesome teacher of martial arts and teaches more than just physical training such as life lessons and discipline.

I've been to a few gyms and dojos and earned a blue belt in jiu jitsu. I started coming here cuz my other gym was closed due to covid. They have a good system. The instructors push me to condition my body as well as my self control. I'm still a white belt but the basics here also seem to be the basics of jiu jitsu and practicing basics has real fight application although when you become good you no longer have the fear that's leads to unnecessary fights Master yu is strict but I feel like the difficulty of his program makes my other aspects of life easier. I still don't know these people that well but I think it's a great use of my time. Just wish adult classes were longer, I'm always a little sad when class is over. Is this the best martial arts gym in anchorage? I don't know but I do know I'm better then where I was.

TaeKwonDo, Champ Martial Arts is a family run business and it shines. My grandaughter has gone here for a few years now, she's six yrs old & loves it. Champ's has enhanced her life tenfold. Champs M A's is not just training; they teach discipline, humility, culture, fitness & health as-well-as community responsibility on so many levels with family as the forefront.

What a great family program. In this day being able to defend themselves is an extremely important tool for your kids to have and they can get it at there. Champs also promotes positive attitudes and treating other people with respect. So glad I found their summer program and can't wait until it's more convenient for our family to take them to the normal scheduled classes as well.

Taking taekwondo with my grandchildren from Champ Taekwondo was such a great decision. The instructors at Champ care about the children and families they work with. They try to involve the entire family. Not only were we in the best shape of our lives, we bonded, made great friends and learned valuable life skills along the way.

The after school and summer camp options are fantastic. It's good to know that my kids are getting some exercise and martial arts training until I get off work. They're also willing to go above and beyond for us. Our school is going to be opening two weeks late this year due to the building not quite being ready, and not only are they extending the summer camp to cover for us working parents for that extra two weeks, but they're also making part of their new facility available to another summer camp program to help cover more kids who need a place to be for the extra two weeks.

Champ Martial Arts is a family oriented school in its own environment. As a parent of two children that have been students there for 3+ years, and myself a student, I have developed a relationship with the owners and instructors and have a huge amount of respect and admiration for what they stand for... Champ's SPECIALIZES in After School Martial Arts, All Day Summer Camp, and Family Martial Arts. Champ's hosts an annual invitational tournament in Anchorage and there EVERYBODY WINS. Students at Champ's range in age from 3 years old to 65 years old. There are students that have special needs that have achieved black belt status. They have teams that train for tournaments and special demonstrations if you want to go that route. Martial Arts isn't all about physical but most importantly mental fitness. Teaching respect, discipline, cooperation, coordination and motivation as well as self defense techniques. Champ's also teaches anti bully techniques with children and adults and promotes using your mind first and self defense as last resort for themselves or for weaker individuals that may be getting bullied. Master Yu is a motivating and an amazing teacher. And I say this through personal experience. He will never give up on you. There are a lot of martial arts schools in town but my opinion is Champ's is the best because of what they stand for and what they give back to the community as much as they possibly can. Its not about making the most money, it's about having the best impact on as many students as possible and contributing to society through art of taekwondo. - Jessie Pappas (I am not an employee of CMA, I am a volunteer)

My wife and I had been looking to find a way to lose weight and get into shape. I had suggested martial arts since I had a positive experience with it in college, albeit brief. Together we decided on Champ Martial Arts, primarily because the scheduling could easily accommodate our busy lifestyles. It has been everything we asked for. We have achieved significant weight loss, become more active in our day to days lives, as well as received a self-esteem boost that we never expected. As adult students, we have felt welcomed and valued almost as family. Champ Martial Arts has been an amazing addition to our lives and one I would recommend to any adult looking for a new hobby, weight loss, or fun new way to get in shape.
