I wholeheartedly recommend CFS Academy! My daughter has been attending their Muay Thai classes for a few months now, and it's been a fantastic experience. The coaches are incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable, fostering a welcoming and supportive environment. She has grown so much in skill and confidence in such a short time. While we've only experienced their Muay Thai program, they also offer Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing, and more. When I first talked to The owner, he said it’s about the journey. Stuck with me. This guy cares. Joined and have been training here for 16 months. Coaches are fantastic. There is No pressure to preform or gym bullying. The membership core is very helpful, supportive, but above all welcoming. Place has changed my life. I’m 51. In the best shape of my life. It’s never too late to get after it. No tricks or BS hidden in contacts. Which by the way he has both short and long term choices. So if you’re interested in bettering your body, mind, and spirit give this place a shot. Chances are you won’t regret it.

After conducting extensive searches for the perfect gym, I found what I was looking for in CFS Academy. The coaches here are exceptional,passionate, skilled, and eager to impart their knowledge. As someone who recently moved to the area from out of state, and has been practicing martial arts my entire life, I only wish I had discovered a gym like this when I was younger. Now, my whole family trains here, giving me another opportunity to bond with my son and spend quality time with my wife (she loves the part where she gets to kick me), CFS Academy truly is amazing.

When my 14-year-old son stated he had interest in boxing, I searched for local schools and came upon CFS Academy. Since we are a homeschooling family, we were able to check out the classes at different times of day to see what they would be like. We went about 3-4 different times just to check things out, see the crowd, the culture, and the location. I have to say that we were very impressed. The owner, David Harr greeted us each time we came in and took the time to answer any questions we had. He never made us feel bad for making sure this school was a fit for us and understood why we were being cautious. My son has been training for 3 weeks now about 4 days a week. Sometimes he will take 2 classes in a row. He loves to go during the early afternoon classes which have fewer students who are experienced, allowing him to train with and learn from some pretty cool people. I am extremely impressed with the coach, who is a very talented fighter himself and a wonderful teacher. He is patient, respectful, and has an ability to explain things very well. I am also impressed with every single person that we have met who has been so friendly and encouraging with my son. Everyone has really made us feel welcomed and like family. My son is “all in” and this school has excited him like I haven’t seen in a long time! I have seen him focus during the classes so intently and his endurance is being tested every day, which he loves. It is a great mix of physical and mental training that has my son hooked. Coach takes great pride in his business, and it shows. He keeps the facility extremely clean and orderly and is always ready to greet whoever walks through the door, even if it is in the middle of a class. If you’re looking for a top notch, professional place to train with amazing people and incredible workouts, CFS Academy is the place!

My son just started here and we feel like family already. My son was going to another place and it does not compare to CFS Academy. The staff are exceptional, friendly and very skilled. My son has learned so much in the short time he has been coming here. I love this place. Dave the owner is great with kids, personable and overall a good guy. I will be joining a class with my daughter soon becuase I see the amazing work they do here and I know they can help me reach my own personal goals. I would recommend this place ten times over to anyone. I am so glad I found CFS.

After having a baby, I needed something to help get me back into shape. My sister recommended we try a kickboxing class here at CFS, and I have been hooked ever since! The atmosphere at this gym is so positive, and the staff really know what they are doing. The class is challenging, but it's fun, and I feel great afterwards. They have so many great classes, but I definitely recommend the women only kickboxing class on Thursday nights at 5pm. Alaina is amazing!

I've been going to CFS close to 8 months now. This is a really great gym. I take the Muay Thai/ kickboxing and Jujitsu classes and recommend this place to anyone. Very clean, maintained very well and have great equipment. Whether your new to martial arts or experienced, this is a really great place to learn and train. Very experienced coaches/trainers. I really can't say enough. Im learning so much training here and met alot of really good people. Thank you Dave as well as all the coaching staff for all that do. 5 STARS!!!!

Best experience I have had in a combat gym. As a female in a male dominated sport, I feel welcomed and accepted at CFS academy. The owner, Dave Harr, has created an environment where all individuals experience a phenomenal workout and improve their skill set. I can occasionally convince my 17 year-old son with autism to join me for a class. All staff and members alike are accepting and accommodating; we both have the best experience. This gym is also immaculate; bright, open, and clean! I feel so blessed to have found this spot and most importantly these people who truly care about the wellbeing of everyone that walks through their doors. The students and coaches at CFS were very welcoming. I had zero combat sport experience and the coaches took the time to work with me 1 on 1 for my first few classes. The classes are structured in a way so that you learn, drill, and build on your techniques as you go, step by step. This is a great place to challenge yourself and grow your skill set. I was on a project for work in Reading and needed a place to train. David and the coaches were great! Let me do a short-term membership as my project only lasted a few months. The people I got to train with were all also great. Awesome gym and great people. I highly recommend!

This is an awesome program for kids and adults. The coaches are very professional and knowledgeable. My daughter who is 9, started Muay Thai last year, and it has been great for her confidence! The instructors are phenomenal, and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. This place will put your kid at ease with a comfortable environment and training partners who are supportive and want you to do their best.

My 15yo son has been going to the adult kickboxing and Muay Thai for about a year now and it's been a great experience. He wanted to learn about self defense, which has happened but more importantly, the training has helped a shy kid break out of his shell and become more confident. It's been a great experience that's way more than just a few punches and kicks.

Fantastic and relatively new martial arts school ran by great coaches. Lots of experience going around and everyone is supportive. Good pricing and flexible with people's schedules. David Harr is a great small business owner that truly cares about people's experience and learning at his gym. Each coach is very supportive and experienced. Primarily striking classes but BJJ isn't anything to scoff at either. Great experience all around.

I started training at CFS earlier this year and it's absolutely just my favorite place. I was a total beginner when I started (I was also overweight and very out of shape), but David (the owner) and the rest of the team were all so welcoming and supportive from the jump. It can be intimidating to step out of your comfort zone, but as long as you're willing to try and put in the work, the folks at CFS make it feel easy. I've taken kickboxing, cardio kickboxing, and Muay Thai classes, and all have been engaging, informative, challenging, and fun! 8 months down the line and I'm in the best shape of my adult life--I feel stronger, more confident, and way less stressed/anxious in my day to day life. I'd recommend joining this awesome community to anyone.

I’m new to CFS Academy, but everyone I’ve met so far has been extremely supportive, welcoming, and helpful. They have a great team atmosphere. The instructor is very knowledgeable and approachable. He also explains things in an easy way. The first day I went he told me rule #1 was “just don’t quit”. That’s my goal. With all the support, I know I’ll get better and better. The classes are also an amazing workout, stress reliever, and incredibly empowering.

Very impressed with this gym! The place is set up thoughtfully and is exceptionally clean. It is a small enough gym where you feel part of the team (and not drowning in a sea of classmates!) but big enough to hold practice equipment, a ring, weights, and heavy bags. I take Muay Thai classes with Coach David, who is extremely knowledgeable about the combat arts and body mechanics, and challenges students in a helpful and encouraging way. My son takes Youth Muay Thai there as well and I would highly recommend the CFS youth program, compared to other local programs he has been in. Highly recommend!

I attended the Thursday night class with Alaina as an instructor. As a first time attendee I appreciated the cleanliness of the facility, the availability of equipment and the friendliness of the owner & staff. What a fun atmosphere and great overall time! Have ZERO Boxing/Muay Thay experience but since Day One was welcomed with open arms by everyone involved. It’s a great place for starters who are looking to get a good workout in and learn some martial arts techniques. If you’re an advanced fighter, they have scheduled hours to work with the more advanced team. They will go at your pace and ensure safety. The team makes you feel like you’re part of the family.

CFS academy is a very friendly and clean gym! The respect you get is amazing and Dave actually cares about his team along with the other coaches. I come from a former gym and this gym opened my eyes to how a member should be treated. Located in a safe area. I felt very respected and welcomed when I first stepped into the building. update 11/11/2022- almost a year later and wouldn't regret switching gyms for anything. seeing myself and this gym grow over the year has been an amazing experience so far :)

This place is great!! I’ve never felt more welcomed into a gym (and I work in a gym lol )… coaches & members have both made my husband, daughters and I feel just like family. Coach Dave is not only amazing with my 9 year old, he’s very good at taking his time with all of us as beginners. Overall, it’s a perfect learning environment and I’m so glad we found CFS. I’m addicted—in a good way!

This place is awesome. David is very knowledgeable and works well at splitting his time between new and veteran members. After researching MMA gyms in the area for a while, I couldn’t be happier about choosing this one. They offer striking, wrestling, yoga, grappling, and even a fitness class for folks over 30…all for a fair price. Highly recommend.

I love this boxing gym! I’ve attended a few of the classes already, and have loved them all. The owner, Dave, is amazing! Very nice and super friendly! Let’s you work at your own pace, but also pushes you to strive for better as you further along. The place is super clean, which is a big plus. The people I have worked out with are so dedicated, and always willing to help each other out. Dave’s classes are awesome and worth all the sweat, as well as his youth muay thai class. The kids have a blast.

It is my life's ultimate goal to travel to Reading and fight Owner and Striking Coach, David Harr. Am I tough enough? Prob not. Do I have any training? Well, maybe CFS can get me there. But do I have the heart? No. Nah bro, I don't have near the heart as Dave, but I'll die trying in the same way that young emcees would pay a million dollars to battle Nas or Tupac. The pain would hurt so good. But seriously- Dave is an incredible business owner and human, and is running a top notch operation. All the 5-star reviews here say it all. If you're serious about learning from someone who has studied and mastered the craft, give CFS a call. You won't be let down!

My daughter (12) asked if I wanted to take martial arts with her (first time for her, a few years for me). Of course I agreed and was super excited, we did some looking around at gyms in the area and found CFS Academy which seemed to have the right balance for us, meaning great workouts with practical self defense. We’re now about 6 weeks in and we’re both loving it! The coach/owner Dave is awesome, very knowledgeable, patient, and a really nice guy that wants everyone to enjoy what we’re doing, whether it’s personal fitness, stress relieve, or training budding fighters. The other part that I really appreciate is the people training here. Everyone’s been great to work with, there’s just a really good vibe here. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to learn new skills, enhance existing skills or just want an awesome workout while picking up some new techniques. Dave’s great for working with each persons needs. Keep it up!

This gym has an awesome atmosphere and good, clean equipment/mats. David is a great instructor who definitely pushes you, but he also emphasizes that you go at your own pace. Safety and enjoyment is a big priority. Overall, the kickboxing class was a great workout and a really good mental challenge. I plan on coming back really soon and can't wait to get better!

Great gym to train at! It's very affordable compared to other gyms and has some great instructors. Dave is great and teaches some great classes!

Amazing. Warm learning environment that makes it so even beginners like me can learn at their own pace. Teacher is outstanding and very friendly, and taught me a lot about Muay Thai. I am beyond interested and will mosy definitely be coming back for classes.

Great experience with the Muay Thai free trial. The owner, David is very accommodating and will let you approach things at your own pace if you're brand new to striking. Definitely check this place out if you have any interest in Muay Thai.

Great atmosphere to learn the art of Muay Thai. Gym also offers boxing, wrestling, jiu jitsu, yoga, and strength & conditioning. The new equipment, and clean facility makes it easy to train and comfortable to stay. I highly recommend trying a class to see if it’s a fit for you. The friendly service and attentiveness is what will definitely make any new comer feel welcomed and confident. The owner is very knowledgeable and encourages any one from beginners to advanced to push themselves. If you’re looking to learn a new skill or learn something new pertaining to martial arts this place is for you.

David and the CFS team are awesome! If you’re a beginner looking to get into combat sports: boxing, kickboxing, bjj, muay thai, this place is perfect. I started my first combat sport at CFS and I couldn’t be happier with the progress I made. The environment is very welcoming to all skill levels. Highly recommend for beginners
