I thought people would be more ignorant like from past events in my life but his place has people that care about you and they love meeting new people. Which is good for someone like me with social anxiety to be in. Totally recommend.

Great welcoming crew and trainers, especially for new people. There is no sense at all of feeling unprepared, behind or overwhelmed in your first classes. The skills taught are practical for everyday situations and surprisingly easy to learn quickly. Lots of options for class times and you can take as many or as few classes as you like. Advanced, Kids and Womens only classes are also offered. The people in the class are very encouraging and willing to help people learn at their own pace. Also a very great workout. If you are considering any self defense classes whether you are experienced or not this is the best place to go.

We love this place and everything about it. Coach Brian is the absolute best!!! He ACTUALLY TEACHES the kids how to defend themselves and every minute of the classes is actual learning and training instead of katas and repetitive words. My boys love it here and tell me they love it over any other activity they do. Self defense is becoming second nature to them as I have witnessed their reactions outside of class when others have tried to grab them or hit them. My boys especially love the games they play (which are training games) and I appreciate how Coach Brian can control a group of kids while being stern but loving and understanding since he's a Dad and understands how kids behave. We are truly blessed to have found this place and if you are on the fence about trying this place, the intro session will show you how valuable these sessions will be. Not only is this a great sport but it will translate outside of the class to prepare you or your kids to defend themselves. I was and am still very impressed!

Brian and his team of instructors are very knowledgeable and personable. They will meet you where you are and challenge you to grow and learn. Even as a beginner, I have felt welcome, valued, and encouraged every time I’ve walked into the Catalyst gym!

I started bringing my teenage son and daughter to the class after seeing impressive results from friends who train here. The staff let the kids attend full classes several times before deciding to commit. I felt no pressure to join and was encouraged to observe the training. With all that said I would highly recommend this school and this martial art to anyone interested in self defense for real life. Krav is not a sport it teaches practical self defense.
