My sons have been going to Amerikick for a few months and they love it! Previously, they tried a different dojo and their first day they were thrown into sparring and that overwhelmed them and made them not want to even do martial arts, they reluctantly tried again and it was totally different at Amerikick! Here they grow the skills and confidence in the kids first. Now my kids are actually excited to start sparring! All the senseis do such a great job and are kind and supportive. They make it a fun environment for my kids to learn and grow their skills. We look forward to continuing our journey at Amerikick!

We love Amerikick overland park. All the Senseis are so supportive and professional. Our girls don't want to miss a single session. They have been going for more than 2 years and we have been loving it. We recently celebrated our 6 year old's birthday over there and it was one of the best celebrations. Both of my kids 6 and 12 attend classes here. All Senseis are great and make it so fun for little kids to attend. They are very professional, and always encourage everyone to improve. I really love my kids attending this specific location!!

Amerikick has done wonders for my daughter’s confidence, discipline, and ability to learn. Each of the instructors take the extra steps needed to learn each of the student’s names and treat them equally. They’re friendly and really care for each of the kids and want to see them succeed. We came for a trial day and after the first class for both kids (5 & 7) they could not stop talking about it! We come at least 3 times a week and every class they do the two of them learn so much! All of the senseis are amazing and extremely encouraging! The two kids have learned so many amazing skills not only physically but mentally. We appreciate AmeriKick in OP so much!

I cannot say enough good things about this place ! My son has adhd and the way they have been able to change his behavior in 8 months has been astonishing ! He’s way more disciplined and actually loves coming here . Everybody is very nice and helpful and really love these kids ! Would definitely recommend bringing your child here especially if your child is having discipline and behavior issues !

I believe karate can be for anyone and everyone no matter what you skills they have. Couldn’t recommend AmeriKick any more to get your kids involved in a sport.
Before finally landing on Amerikick we did a trial at 3 dojos, and ultimately liked this one the most. The staff is not only extremely friendly and makes an effort to know EVERYONES name, but they are also very capable athletes (which you might be surprised isn't always the case). We found this to be the perfect balance of exercise and fun which was exactly what our 6 year old daughter needed. The cherry on top was definitely the app were you can add and drop classes very easily to match a busy schedule.

My older son started with AmeriKick as a 4 year old and is now a Third Degree Blackbelt. He also attained his Eagle Scout last year. Karate has been fantastic for him, he’s a super disciplined young man, confident, great college student, and just a fantastic person. I attribute much of this to his training (spanning 14 years) at AmeriKick. My younger son (age 10) is following in his big brother’s footsteps (i hope!) at AmeriKick. I’m definitely a fan of this place, they are great!!!
I've been with AmeriKick since 2007 as an adult student. I've loved my time here—I've improved my physical health, as would be expected, but also gained lifelong friends from so many different walks of life. As an adult, it is so hard to get off the couch to go work out, but the accountability that the Senseis provide—and helping others grow in the process—is consistently rewarding. The training each week pushes me physically and mentally...just what I need!

My daughter has been going to AmeriKick since she was 3 years old. She is now almost 11 and started competing nationally this year. Practicing karate has contributed to making her mentally and physically strong. The senseis are ALL incredible, as teachers and as role models, and have helped her build confidence and resilience. She has made very close friends and it is never a fight to get her to go to class. The dojo is her happy place!
My son requested a 'Ninja Party' for his 6th birthday. I googled 'Ninja Party in Overland Park' and came across Amerikick. The kids had so much fun and it was so easy for me. The guys that hosted the party were so engaging and fun. I would absolutely recommend an Amerikick Birthday party to anyone thats looking for a unique birthday party experience. Our family truly loves AmeriKick! My kids have learned skills and discipline that is leading them on a path of doing a healthy activity that they can participate in into adulthood. One thing that has truly amazed me is how it helped my youngest to be so well prepared for starting school. The learning of skills such as lining up, listening to an adult teaching a class, and interacting with peers gave my child tools that have helped him enter school with ease.
I started my martial art journey at 58. I join because I wanted to improve my mobility and thought martial arts would be fun. From day one, I felt at home and was able to follow the class. The atmosphere is to grow personally but also to help each other. It’s cool that fellow students are not shy in giving tips and encouragement. I have a ways to go, yellow belt at this review, but I have already seen an improvement in my mobility and fitness. Regarding the instructors (Sensei’s): they take what they do seriously while at the same time make the classes fun. Whatever your age….Amerikick is a good place to be.

Great martial arts dojo for all ages and skill levels. The instructors are great, and having the flexibility of picking different dates and times through the app is perfect for my kids who play more than one sport or activity throughout the year.

Overland Park Amerikick has became a second home for my family. This place is so amazing with some of the Greatest Martial Arts teachers as well as students in the world. Our son has elevated his journey so much with the help from everyone at this dojo. When it comes to Americick Karate School, I'd say it's top-notch. The instructors are super skilled, the classes are engaging, and the atmosphere is really welcoming. If you're looking to learn martial arts, this place is a fantastic choice. The instructor Xander is very nice and welcoming and is always ready to help people out.
My child is 4 and started Amerikick when he was 3. When we met with Sensei Xander for the first time he took some time to listen to the goals that my child and I wanted him to work on. I feel like Sensei Xander and Sensei Rodrigo really take the time to not only just teach my child but get to know him as well. They also do a really good job of classroom management, which is not an easy thing to do with a bunch of little ones. Overall, I have seen an improvement in my child’s listening skills, following directions, and just having something fun to do. He has also improved at daycare as well. Proud to keep attending Amerikick and thank them for all the work they do with my little!

We had an awesome birthday party for our 1st grade son today! I highly recommend this place for a fun birthday party that is unique and fun. I also loved that we could invite a lot of kids to the party.
I am an adult who recently started taking lessons at AmerikKick (I've been taking lessons there about 3 months). So far I've enjoyed the process. I attended the Adult classes a couple of days a week. This martial Arts school teaches everyone from beginners to Black Belts. The instructors have been very friendly and patient with adults. From my limited observations, the school really seems to excel with children/teens. The kids seem to get some good exercise, seem to have good self control/self discipline. I don't have a lot of interaction with the kids other than when the dojo is changing from the classes for the younger ones to the adult classes, but they seem like a nice well behaved group of young learners. All in all it's has been a very positive experience so far.
My two boys and I couldn't be happier with our choice in AmeriKick. The sensei's are more than qualified, and absolutely dedicated to helping their students achieve their goals. My daughter Maya has been going to Amerikick for 4 years now and we absolutely love this place. All the Senseis are Amazing! They are all great with the kids. They are very personable, they keep the class fun and at the same time teach the kids discipline. All of them are also top notch karate title holders which really shows when they demonstrate the forms and techniques to the kids. They also send positive feedback text video after a class which I thought was a really good motivator for my daughter. The facility is clean and just has that family friendly vibe. We are so lucky to have found this place.

We are so grateful for Amerikick. We took a leap, and decided to get our twins enrolled in sessions over the summer. We have seen so much individual growth in both, R and R. We have not only seen more self control and discipline in home life, but also in their dedication to school work, self discipline and leadership in friend groups. They look forward to their sessions each week. Everyone there is so dedicated to their individual growth. They especially love their sessions with Sensei Parrish and Sensei Rodrigo! If you’re looking for after school or summer camp, this place is THE best. My boys have gone to a few different summer camps, but have never loved any like this one. They begged to go on the weekends and refused when I would try to let them stay home to get a chill break day. It’s so nice to have a place to send your kids that you know they will be safe in and have a blast too. Thanks for the super fun summer! My boys also go to karate here and have learned so much! They love going to class and all of the instructors have been amazing. I’m so glad we found amerikick. It’s a bit of a ways for us, but I’ll gladly make the drive to take them to someone i trust that the kids love just as much as I do!
WOW. Where do I start? We have been so impressed with Amerikick!!! We weren’t sure what to expect at first, but it took one session for us to fall in love with this place. Each staff member has been kind, courteous, and helpful each step of the way. Each and every teacher/sensei at Amerikick has been so encouraging, patient, and helpful with our son (and all of the kids!). Our son has learned SO much already and continues to grow in confidence, focus, and skill. The staff go out of their way to be positive and encouraging to the kids and it has been refreshing to witness. Our son even received a hand-written postcard in the mail from his teacher after the first month—our son was SO proud and just THRILLED. If you are thinking of signing your kids up, just go for it. Our son (8yo) and daughter (4yo) just finished their first classes tonight. Even though it was a group class, I was VERY impressed with how they received individualized instruction. They made sure to go around the room to each student to encourage them throughout the entire class. They also made them feel very welcome and assured that they were introduced to the rest of the students. It was their first time in a martial arts class of any kind and we are so excited to be a part of AmeriKick! I highly recommend them!

This is such a great place to train and the people are incredible. I started here 19 years ago and it’s kept me coming back! The adult program is great for both beginners and people who have experience with other martial arts schools or styles. The classes are high energy and still provide a space to learn and grow even when you’ve been at it almost 2 decades! I’d recommend this school time and time again.
