With over 25 years in the Winnipeg Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu scene, Gil Torres is Head Coach of the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program. A Black Belt under Rodrigo Munduruca, he is a former MMA fighter who continues to compete in sport BJJ.

I've been training at Canadian Fighting Center and have had a great experience so far. Coach Gil Torres is an excellent instructor. His teaching is very detailed, and he does a great job breaking techniques down in a way that is easy to understand and apply. The facility is clean and well maintained, and owner Giuseppe DeNatale has created a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for everyone who trains there. I would definitely recommend Canadian Fighting Center to anyone looking to train Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Winnipeg.

I’m not from Winnipeg but dropped in on a Saturday for some Muay Thai training and sparring and had an absolutely amazing time. The quality of instruction and the other gym members were super great. Would love to train here again

My son started taking kickboxing at Canadian Fight Center about a month ago, and we’ve had a fantastic experience so far. Coach Giuseppe is amazing with the kids, patient, encouraging, and really knows how to connect with them. Giuseppe and his team are very knowledgeable and run a clean, professional gym. It’s clear they take pride in what they do. The free parking is also a great bonus. Most importantly, my son is having a lot of fun while learning new skills. He looks forward to every class and really admires Coach Giuseppe. Highly recommend!

THE BEST Martial Arts training facility in Winnipeg! I was hesitant to sign up since I had no prior martial arts experience, but this has been the best decision I made for myself this last year. The Coach does a fantastic job at facilitating classes making sure things run smoothly. There are people of all ages and experience levels in every class which made it more comfortable for me at first. My favourite part of CFC gym is the culture and atmosphere inside the gym....everyone is there to learn, help others and be the best versions of ourselves possible. Come try a class and see for yourself!

Participated in a kickboxing class here. The facility is large and very clean. Training partners and coaches were very helpful and knowledgeable. The class was lots of fun and a great workout.

Been training here for about 1 year. Great gym. Highly recommended whether you're just a hobbyist or looking to go competitive. Coaching is fantastic and the facility is clean. Its the place to train, learn and grow!

If your goal is fitness, this place has it. If your goal is self- defense, this place has it too. Great place for beginner and even advanced as they have advanced classes and sparring sessions.

I've been training at CFC for over 4 years now and its hands down the best gym for kickboxing, Muay Thai, and MMA in the city. There's nowhere better to get a hard work-out. If fighting is your goal, coach Giuseppe and his wealth of knowledge will mold you into a top competitor. Everything is cleaned and sanitized between classes, and the atmosphere is great. Be ready to work hard!

Been coming here two and a half years. I can't believe I haven't left a review yet.... Glad I joined. This place definitely challenges me. Keeps me mentally and physically healthy. Forces me to eat healthy as well. Always a good time @ Cfc. It's boxing, kickboxing, wrestling, etc. classes. It's not really an open gym that you can just do whatever you want like Shapes. Good to know this before you join. All depends what your looking for.
