I honestly can't say enough good things about Bustos! From day one, I felt super welcome and the vibe here is just awesome. The instructors are amazing—super skilled but also really down-to-earth and encouraging. They don’t just teach you the moves, they actually care about helping you get better and push your limits. It’s not just about kicking and punching, it's about growing as a person too. They teach you respect, discipline, and how to deal with challenges, which is pretty cool. The classes are always different and fun, but you definitely get a real sense of progress. The belt system makes it clear where you’re at and what you need to work on, so you always feel like you're improving. Whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been doing karate for a while, there’s always something to learn. What I love most, though, is the people. It’s not just a karate school, it’s like a family. Everyone is super supportive, and it’s easy to make friends, no matter your level. If you're thinking about joining, trust me, you won’t regret it! Bustos is hands down the best place to train.
Excellent place for your children to learn self-defense and make friends. Sensei Jesse is great, he takes the time for each child. My daughter loves this karate school.
Bustos has been nothing but an amazing experience for both my son and daughter. My children are always excited to attend class and learn new techniques. Sensei Jesse and the rest of the staff are caring, patient, and excellent teachers. We love Sensei Jesse! My 6 year old son has been taking his class for a few months now and says that Sensei Jesse “has a lot of fun packed inside of him” 😂 My son had a horrible experience at a sports camp prior to karate and Jesse immediately set him up to succeed at every class. My boy never fails to come out of that room with a huge smile on his face! Sensei Jesse always shows respect, patience, and safety to all of the kids, which every parent can appreciate. I feel so comfortable putting my boy in his care and would recommend him to anyone!

I can’t say enough great things about sensei Jesse and Busto’s martial arts. My son had been a student of sensei Jesse’s for several years now and Jesse is always available for one on one instruction after and before his classes. The studio provides a great learning environment, and Jesse makes it fun for kids all while they learn martial arts. I highly recommend Busto’s martial arts in patchogue and especially sensei Jesse.
Wonderful karate studio. Sensei Jesse works with all the students on their level. He is patient, kind, and focused. The respect the students have for him is palpable. He takes his time to meet each student where they are currently at to help them learn in grow not only in karate, but in life.
Sensei Jesse and the staff are incredible. The lessons are fun and the children learn a number of skills that will aid them as they grow. There are often events outside the lessons that are excellent and a great value. Highly recommend Bustos.

Our Son Grayson absolutely loves Bustos Martial arts studio. He is in the tiny tigers program & Jesse has helped get our son so far in such a short time. I highly recommend this studio to any patent looking for a Martial arts program for their kids.

Our son started at Bustos when he was 4 years old, in a year he has grown so much. Sensei Jesse and his instructors have helped our son gain strength, confidence and focus. they are all great with the kids and very patient. He loves coming to class and being with friends and amazing teachers. They periodically have movie nights and fun events for he kids, they really make it a fun and comfortable place to be and learn Kenpo.
This is a unique place for kids to go learn martial arts, nice friendly teachers, extremely professionals with their art, very clean and organized place, we have visited a few other places with my son and for us we see this is the place where real martial arts are thought in every clas, we are very happy here 😀😊.
Busto’s of East Patchogue has changed my boys .They love going to class and learning new techniques and earning their belts.The staff are great with the kids and we really feel like we are part of a big family!
