We just brought my son down for bring a buddy week and that’s all it took to light that spark in his eye to want to sign up and already set his sights on becoming a black belt. The way all the teachers and Sensei Matt make learning martial arts fun and challenging is an amazing mix of patients and high energy needed to maintain the connection with the students. I myself have studied multiple arts and can say if you have kids looking to get involved in a positive program, Busto’s Martial Arts in Ronkonkoma is the place to go.
Both of my boys have attended Bustos since summer 2022. We love it there. All the instructors are wonderful and so motivating. We are able to go four times a week and add on sparring and tricking classes. The boys are always so excited to go. It has become a second home for us. They are our top choice!

My son started a month after his 3rd birthday. He was a quiet, clingy kid who had terrible separation anxiety. Now his 5 and half and turned into such a happy, confident kid. He looks forward to karate days. He has learned to much in the last 2.5 years. Now he does tricking class and practices his cart wheels and hand stands at home. Love Sensei Matt and his whole team.
Both of my sons are enrolled here (ages 3 and 6). The instructors are excellent and really take their time with the kids. It’s incredible watching children at such an early age learn and apply new skills. Bustos is a great place and I’m happy to have my kids learn there.

I've been to other places. The Sensei's are amazing in general, and absolutely wonderful with the kids! My son has learned a lot more here, feels way more comfortable and we pay slightly less. An absolutely wonderful place for all ages.
Best karate studio around! My son has been going to Bustos for about 3 years now and we can’t say enough good things about it! He’s learned to be very well behaved, respectful, and most importantly how to defend himself! We have had a birthday party there, and attended many birthday parties there and all the kids love it!!

Bustos is an excellent studio that excels at caring for and engaging their students. From the top, Sensei Matt to all of the instructors, it is clear that these are people that truly care about the wellbeing of the students and their families. My 7 year old has been attending for three years and of all of the activities and sports he has tried, karate at Bustos has been the one that he still gets excited for each week. In his years there my son has learned determination, focus, and techniques all while having a terrific time. The daily classes are always active and creative. They also have had special classes like Halloween mazes and trunk or treating, guest instructors, military week, and karate camps as well. I cannot recommend bustos enough, you won't be disappointed!

I do not have enough positive things to say about Bustos Martial Arts and it's staff. Our son (he is 5) has issues with attention and Bustos creates environment that is engaging while maintaining a sense of fun. I have seen advancements in our son's attention and I contribute a lot of that to his time at Bustos. The staff is friendly and show that they truly care for their students. The lessons they teach, not just in karate, are lessons that will be used for not only childhood age but throughout life. I would recommend any parent that has an interest in putting their child in martial arts to go to Bustos so they can experience all the great/positive things they have to offer.

My daughter has been going to Bustos for 4 years now. Its such a huge part of her life. Sensei Matt, Sensei Jesse and the rest of the staff at Bustos are amazing instructors and great role models. My daughter looks forward to going to every class, even after 4 years. There’s always something fun or new to learn. She works hard there and smiles and laughs while doing it. We couldn’t be happier.
My son has been attending Bustos since he was 3 1/2. Every staff member is amazing. He has learned so much discipline, respect and self defense. Sensei Matt helped him when he was misbehaving at home with charts to track his progress and reward him. Sensei also helped when he was being bullied. They dedicated a class bullying and teaching the kids what to do in that situation. They just go above and beyond and it’s really a second home to my son. Sensei Matt is beyond a 100 percent dedicated to these kids. It really has been a life changing experience having such support from an amazing group of teachers and instructors. They are a part of molding my son into the man he will become.
I cannot say enough about Bustos and Sensei Matt, all the Sempai’s and the rest of the staff. My daughter has been going there for 6 years. Sensei Matt has the patience of a saint, and the biggest heart. He is personally invested in all of these children. He knows exactly what these kids want and need and goes above and beyond to make their experience fun and teach them life lessons in the process. My daughter is strong, independent and confident and she respects her elders and I owe a lot of that to Bustos ❤️

This karate place is great with kids! Sensei Matt has the patience of a saint, a heart of gold, and a true passion for making karate fun for all. The sempai’s are excellent with the students and both of my kids love going there! They have fun filled classes, special events, and family outings for everyone. Definitely try it out.
If you are looking for a family friendly place to study Kenpo Karate, Busto’s is the place. The receptionist will always greet you by name. You can wait with other parents in the waiting room as your child develops the confidence and skills that are gained through the study of martial arts. Having watched the growth of my son, I was inspired to join as an adult, it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Sensei Matt always takes the time to make all students feel welcome and everyone leaves having learned at least one new thing after each class. The curriculum for sparring and weapons give students an understanding and appreciation of the skills they are developing in the regular classes. There is never a dull moment when you are in class. The instructors and other students are always eager to assist each other. This is truly a martial arts family worth joining.
I went to go watch a belt test and everyone there was really nice and friendly the atmosphere was amazing!

Busto’s is really a great Karate School for both kids and adults. A great place for young people to develop into disciplined, independent, confident teens and adults.
My younger brother has been going here for 4 years and he has recently reached the rank of 3rd degree brown belt! Sensei Matt and the staff are well trained and super friendly. The teacher to student ratio in the classes are perfect and my brother always gets the attention he needs. The instructors always keep me updated on his progress, which is awesome because then we can just watch tutorials Sensei Matt made on YouTube. I highly recommend Busto's for students of all ages!
Busto's has helped my daughter with her confidence and discipline. The instructors are very nice and promote positive reinforcement with the children. They also took the time with her when she was new to the class to get her acquainted with the class and make her feel comfortable. The schedule for classes is also very accommodating.

We did a lot of research and found Bustos to be a perfect fit. Sensei Matt and his awesome staff helped my kids come out of their shells and bosted their confidence. Also their adult programs are Top Notch. Weather it’s Boot Camp,Kick Boxing or Adult Karate the will work with you to achieve a ultimate success. I have been taking Adult Karate for over a year and I have never been more pleased.

My 13 year old boy girl twins were lucky enough to discover Bustos a little over 3 years ago. He didn’t like the Jiu Jitsu dojo he was at and she wanted to try something other than the gymnastics she was doing. We received a “Free Week Trial” pass at the Sachem public library and decided to give Bustos a shot. It was LOVE at first sight for both of them. Bustos is run by the amazing Sensei Matt with an incredible team of students and Sempai teachers all helping every kid attain THEIR individual potential. There is learning, hard work and fun taught at Bustos every day. The staff from Sam at the front desk to Sempai Mike, Jesse, Gaetana and Tony are fantastic!! My twins have learned so much about what they CAN do instead of what they can’t do here at Bustos. The two of them are 2nd degree brown belts and will continue on their black belt quest and to be the BEST they can be. Thank you so much Bustos!!!

Horrible loyalty. Don't understand how the coach can't stick towards his word of safety towards kids. ON top of that keeping my payment after wanting to leave due to poor attitude.
