I've been training here for a little over 2 years, and my only complaint is that it can't make it in more often (and that's on me). It's such an awesome atmosphere with great coaches and training partners, not to mention plenty of mat space. Professor Danny is super humble, knowledgeable, and an awesome instructor of the art. He and Jamie have created a great atmosphere that makes all feel welcome.
Professor Danny Stolfi led a seminar at our academy in Madison, Wisconsin and it left our members raving about it to this day! He taught a very clear and detailed progression of techniques that everyone - regardless of prior knowledge or skill - was able to learn and implement. Prof. Stolfi is also an incredibly kind and generous human being who cares about his students and the health of Jiu-Jitsu culture at large. He’s truly an example of a servant-leader, someone who leads from the front, by example, and in service of others. Truly an inspiring person! If you’re looking for a place to learn Jiu-Jitsu - or deepen your knowledge - Breathe Jiu-Jitsu is the place to go!

Being brand new to the sport of BJJ I’m sure I felt like anyone starting something brand new. A little intimidated, uncertain and nervous. Being the brand new guy in the room who knows no one could be daunting. The Staff and fellow students at Breathe have welcomed me in with open arms. They all have great attitudes and all strive to get better while challenging one another at the same time. The culture is so positive it’s infectious. If you’re thinking about starting Bjj or looking for a new academy I would highly recommend Breathe Jiu Jitsu. You will not be disappointed 🤙🏼
We have been at Breathe a little less than a month, and love it. Professor Danny and Coach Jamie, along with their other coaches do a great job conducting classes, and teaching on all levels.
If you are considering trying BJJ or experienced—this is the place. Open, welcoming, and full of knowledge. All the professors and coaches are full of insight for both the competitive and the recreational.
Nice and friendly people extremely informational on the sport. Very excited to start with them.
Breathe has a great mix of experts and amatuers. Most gyms focus on one or the other. This was a great place to learn while my brother, who is very advanced, had great rolls with their balck belts. Challenging and welcoming. I will be joining.
My son and I have been training at Breathe for the past few years. The instruction and training are excellent. Danny is great teacher! Breathe is a great place with a great vibe. Danny and Jamie are compassionate and truly great people.
I came in for a free 3 class trial. Everyone here is so nice and welcoming! The instruction is fantastic as the owners of this school train under the Mendes brothers at Art of Jiu Jitsu. I highly recommend!!
Couldn’t ask for a better training environment. Prof. Danny is a world class competitor and a genuinely great person. The place is always immaculately clean and well kept. All of the students have been friendly and train safely no matter your level. Highly recommended!

I had the pleasure of learning from and working alongside Professor Danny at Art of Jiu Jitsu Academy in Costa Mesa Ca. Professor Danny is a Blackbelt under the Mendes Bros and has a deep technical knowledge which he is able to convey in an easy to understand way. There are classes for all ability levels and beginners are always welcome. He is an excellent kids coach and played a pivotal role in multiple Pan Kids championships. My experience with Prof. Danny has been fantastic. Patient and detail orientated and has the ability to explain the most technical in a manner that is easy to understand and perform. He is easy to talk to and has a very easy going personality. I would highly recommend Danny for both adults, kids and anyone looking to compete.
