  Went here for a couple of months - I’m pretty new to boxing but moved around a bit so have seen other gyms. These guys built hardly any rapport with me and never did sparring. The first time they asked me to do sparring I was put in the ring with someone a thousand times better than me and instead of learning it felt like I was cannon fodder. I stopped it after the first round. coach didn’t even ask if I was okay he just started doing pads with the established lad instead. Left feeling down and with a headache - wouldn’t recommend.

  This gym was good when they had Sambo and Muay Thai classes. Now, most of the classes are not run as seriously. I went to a striking class recently and it was mostly just kids who you can't train with.

  I've recently joined Bury defence academy and been attending Sambo sessions on a regular basis with instructor Amar. He doesn't only treat you as a brother and coach at the same time, but makes every little effort to make you improve in every aspect of combat sport. I would definitely recommend this place to Amy individual wanting to learn how to fight and improve every aspect in their life. See you at Bury defence academy

  Excellent gym, coaches and facilities. From the moment I walked in with my three children of all different ages, I felt welcomed and comfortable. Every coach and member of staff go above and beyond for each user of the gym. A special mention to Michelle. An absolute credit to the gym and sport of boxing. Her way with the children of both age classes run to bring the best out in the kids is exceptional. The way she grows each kids talent, skills & confidence is a true reflection of what boxing is all about.

  Great group of staff members who care and want all the members to improve. Great environment for kids to have fun in too. Highly recommend popping into their classes.
