  Professor Riccardo is a black belt with tons of experience competing and teaching BJJ at a high level. I thoroughly enjoyed my time training with him. His ability to break down complex concepts while maintaining a positive and encouraging gym culture is what stood out to me the most. I would highly recommend training at BJJ Battalion, especially for complete newbies.

  I have two kids (4 and 6) at BJJ Battalion and we’ve been going for almost two years. Riccardo is a great teacher, he is consistent with the discipline so the children learn very quickly how they’re expected to behave in the dojo. The classes are structured so that there is a good balance between repetition and practise which enables the kids to pick up the skills but also fun and games at the end. Both of my children began feeling very intimidated and nervous but have grown to be much more confident in their physical abilities. Highly suggest BJJ Battalion and martial arts in general for children of any age. Also very reasonably priced. Classes are a full hour.

  My kiddo is 3 and has been training at BJJ Battalion for about a month now. She is already picking up a lot of what is being taught and has such pride that she is able to do what her dad can (he also trains here). Coach Riccardo is so knowledgeable, great with the kids and so so patient. We are so grateful to have such an awesome dojo so close by! Highly recommend!

  My son Amara has been with BBJ Battalion for 6 months now and we absolutely love it there! We had tried out a few places prior to finding this location and we are so happy as we love Coach Riccardo and so does our son! We love his style of training and love how much our son is learning. My husband has trained in Jijitsu as well so this is coming from someone who knows what it takes to be a good coach and whether or not the training is up to par. Coach Riccardo is like no other coach - he teaches discipline, proper technique, and is also super fun! He pays attention to all students, making sure no one left out (an issue to had at the other places we looked into). Amara's confidence has soared and he really looks forward to jijitsu class. Coach Riccardo is also really fair, understanding, and easy to get a hold of if you ever have any questions! We give this place a 10/10!   Great academy, awesome sensei, high quality trainings! Our son started trainings over six months ago. I decide to start my journey too! Good for better, healthier quality of living, many benefits for mind and body. I can only say, I wish to start earlier, but truth is better late than never!
