My daughter loves attending jiu-jitsu classes here! It has helped her learn discipline and build confidence. She enjoys that the classes are both fun and educational because she gets to play and learn at the same time. She especially likes Coach Ricardo, who is funny, encouraging, and makes every class enjoyable. Highly recommend for kids!

Riccardo and BJJ Battalion are amazing. Riccardo always makes sure his dojo is a safe space for all, not tolerating any bullying or discrimination. He is very nice, patient, kind and just all around amazing. I love training there. With work, I can’t always go, but each day that goes by that I’m not there, I miss it and the wonderful people I train with. Such a great place.

My daughter has been going to bjj battalion for 1.5 months and she absolutely loves it. This bjj school is really great for both kids and adults of all levels. Riccardo is an awesome coach. He structures his classes so that they are engaging and fun, but challenging and well organised at the same time.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My son Eugene started at BJJ Battalion when he was just three years old, and now at four and a half the growth I’ve seen in him has been incredible. From the very first time I met Coach Riccardo, I knew this was the right place. I asked him, ‘What’s the biggest lesson my son is going to take away from this?’ and without hesitation he looked at me and said: learning how to lose. That answer has stayed with me, because it captures exactly what this dojo is about resilience, humility, and the deeper values that kids will carry with them far beyond the mats. Riccardo is absolutely brilliant with the kids. He’s fully engaged, patient, and knows exactly how to balance discipline with fun. Every class is a mix of structure, energy, and positivity. Eugene has not only learned the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, but he’s also building confidence, focus, respect, and perseverance. This is not a quick-fix program it’s a process that requires consistency and time, but the rewards are enormous. Watching Eugene’s development in just over a year has been remarkable, and I know the lessons he’s learning here will serve him for life. BJJ Battalion is far more than just a martial arts gym. It’s a supportive, inspiring environment where kids are taught not only how to grapple and defend themselves, but how to grow into strong, confident, resilient individuals. I couldn’t recommend it more highly.

The instructor is extremely knowledgeable and attentive, and the class sizes are small, so the environment is excellent if you are new or want to refine your technique. I've trained before at a few big gyms and can really feel the difference.

Riccardo is a genuinely great teacher. He's got the right balance of discipline, support, and intensity that children need to do something as challenging as BJJ. His professional credentials are world-class, and he's got an interesting life story, too. I enthusiastically recommend you try out his classes if you have a young kid.

My daughter Fiona is small and very shy. I decided to try this out and was absolutely blown away by how much she loved it. Absolutely made my day. Instructor is awesome and is very good with the kids. We just signed up for a month!

We just finished our week long free trial in which my 5 & 6 year old both went to 3 classes. They love this dojo and the instructor! They have fun and learn self defense. Sensei Ricardo is awesome with the kids and has a great sense of humor while maintaining a seriousness for the art of Jiu-jitsu & MMA. Kids have chosen this as their favourite trial and will become members asap. Its also a great price. I might even try a trial week for myself! 5 stars. I highly recommend.

My kiddo is 3 and has been training at BJJ Battalion for about a month now. She is already picking up a lot of what is being taught and has such pride that she is able to do what her dad can (he also trains here). Coach Riccardo is so knowledgeable, great with the kids and so so patient. We are so grateful to have such an awesome dojo so close by! Highly recommend!
