This gym has truly been such a blessing for our family. Our kids have been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for the past three years, and recently joining this gym was the best decision we ever made. Jorge, Daniel, Cheryl, Nemat, Eleonora, Carlos, and all of the amazing staff at the front desk have created such a welcoming and positive environment for the kids to learn and grow. Jorge provides a well-rounded learning experience that goes far beyond mastering the technical aspects of BJJ. It's the life lessons he teaches alongside the techniques that make every class so meaningful and relatable. You leave each class feeling proud of what you've learned and accomplished that day. The coaches teach with respect, patience, and discipline. There are always multiple coaches on the mats providing guidance, making corrections, and ensuring every child receives the attention they need. The level of care, encouragement, and genuine investment they show in each child is truly unmatched. It's incredibly rare to find a gym that combines such high-level instruction with such a strong sense of community and support. Our kids absolutely love this gym, and we feel so fortunate to be learning from the very best. We couldn't recommend it more highly!

My kids have been doing BJJ for 3 yrs, we learned the hard way the difference between great & mediocre instruction/schools. The previous school they weren't learning moves, classes weren't structured, instructors didn't pay attention to kids. So glad we found Etobicoke BJJ. Jorge is the best of the best & the other instructors are equally amazing. Always multiple instructors on mats to correct kids & make sure they learn. Jorge instills life lessons into the kids as well as high level BJJ. We travel a distance to come to this school & will never leave, it is that good. Comparing to previous school we went to it feels like we wasted our time the last 3 years, I wish we found this school sooner. No better place

I had the opportunity to train at Etobicoke BJJ and had a great experience. The level of Jiu-Jitsu is excellent, whether you're a beginner or an advanced practitioner. The coaches are knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is welcoming and respectful. It's a great academy for kids, adults, women, and families. I highly recommend Etobicoke BJJ to anyone looking for high-quality training in a friendly environment.

Jorge is the reason I have been successful in my own personal life.. all from his life lessons on and off the mats. My first instructor in the art. I got my black belt from him and I’m always proud to say I did. If you are lucky enough to learn from him, he will not only teach you amazing BJJ but he will teach you a life style. A life style that echos discipline and humility. I always wish him the best! He’s one of the staples in Canadian BJJ history.

If you're just starting Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or you've been training for years, this is an outstanding gym with an incredibly welcoming community. I highly recommend it! Jorge and his staff are truly the best in the business. I've known Jorge for many years and have had the privilege of learning from him both on and off the mats. The lessons I've gained — about technique, discipline, and life in general — have been invaluable. Great people, excellent instruction, and a real sense of family. 10/10 would recommend!

Beautiful, clean environment with ample seating for anyone who wants to watch a class. Great, firm but friendly, encouraging, and approachable leaders, and staff. Family friendly environment. My son went to another gym previously but his confidence has skyrocketed since joining Etobicoke BJJ. It's a fun, positive, focused place that has helped his technique and now had him practicing at home too! I never have to remind my son about classes anymore. Best change we've ever made!

The gym is very clean and bright, and easily accessible from the Islington S exit. There are plenty of parking spots in the surrounding area. There are some experienced students that will help you, making the classes very beginner friendly. The kids have a blast too and look forward to the “jiujitsu days”. The co-founder and coach Jorge Britto is one of the biggest promoters of Brazilian jiujitsu in Canada. He runs the Jiujitsu for life team, organizes a circuit of tournaments all over Canada called NextGen, and leads the organization of international tournaments like Abu Dhabi Professional jiujitsu championship and International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation when they come to Canada. I have learned so much more than jiujitsu from Jorge Britto and he’s one of those people you want in your life, if you want to learn a fun martial art with values that translate into real life, you can learn from the best at Etobicoke BJJ.
