Matthew Tuttey Head Coach

Black belt

Matthew Tuttey started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2009 in Bahrain under Alliance black belt Reza Monfaradi. He competed regionally in events including the Abu Dhabi World Pro and the Asian Super Cup, reaching purple belt before returning to the UK. Back in the UK, Matthew continued training under Alliance black belt Lee Bown at Amber Valley MMA, who awarded him his black belt in 2023. Matthew began coaching more formally in 2018 at Spirit Dojo Legacy.
