I had karate practice at this place and everyone was very friendly especially when it was my birthday
Great place for your child to learn martial arts along with discipline, manners, and life skills to lead a successful life.
My son started about 4 months ago and being in martial arts myself when I was younger I knew what I was looking for in a instructor. Let me just say that master Barnes goes above and beyond anything that I could have ever hoped for. He is extremely professional he is extremely patient with very young children and takes his time to explain things so they do things the right way. There is absolutely 0 negative things to say and I could go on all day long on the list of positive things that master Barnes does not only for his students but for the community is well. For anyone that is looking for a positive thing to do where it will teach you self confidence self respect discipline and many more positive traits I highly recommend master Barnes.
This is the best martial Arts school in the valley!!! I joined last summer after a hard medical diagnosis and its helped me immensely! Master barnes is a true professional and teaches not only self defense but kindness, compassion, dignity, honor and respect.
I enjoy my time their a lot the best martial arts instructor by far
Barnes Martial Arts has proven to be a simply excellent experience for my 5 year old son, my husband, and myself as beginners to martial arts. Master Barnes not only teaches the art of Karate fantastically, but self-discipline and respect for others and the world while being kind, humorous, and courteous to everyone around him. Master Barnes's teaching is exemplary, catering to nearly every age and all abilities in an immaculate, comfortable, and professional facility. The classes are challenging and fulfilling without being difficult, and provide a real work out while teaching Karate like no other. Master Barnes has an amazing chemistry with all of his students, and is fantastic with children and adults alike, and going to classes has proven to be a favorite event of the week for my family. I would recommend no other instructor than Master Barnes for anyone interested in martial arts.
I've trained at Barnes Martial Arts for 14 years, and I can honestly say that no human being has impacted my life more positively than Gary Barnes. That's a bold statement, I know, but it's true. In addition to karate lessons, I gained a sense of confidence that really set the tone for the rest of my life. Over the course of my training, Mr. Barnes has taught me everything from mixed martial arts to American Kenpo Karate to CDT. CDT is a close range martial arts style designed around real world scenarios to disarm and defuse any hostile situations, while taking in all legality concerns, until help arrives. I feel that he has prepared me for virtually any situation. However, in addition to giving me such a wide array of Karate and close ranged Martial Arts knowledge, I am most grateful that Gary Barnes instilled the power and importance of positive thinking, setting goals, discipline, respect into all of his teachings. This is more than karate... It's character building. I would recommend Barnes Martial Arts school to anyone.
Went for the 2 week trial period. The instructor was not very open to teaching. Class was over crowded with little personal attention. Would not recommend if you want to learn the skill.
