BFC is an absolute awesome place to be. Perry is a wonderful and patient instructor when it comes to jiu jitsu. I’ve been going for about a year now and have not regretted a single thing. Perry also has an amazing music taste in my opinion. Everyone is also so nice and welcoming and it’s an amazing place to be.
Perry is the walking definition of a consummate professional. As a complete novice, he and more importantly his students helped to foster a comfortability with being uncomfortable while you go through the learning process. I really began to identify the value of this place by how good I felt when I went home from class, especially on days when I had to force myself to go. I truly could not have asked for a better place to get acclamated to the sport. If you are a complete beginner, the only requirement for your first class is an open mind. That being said, it is on you to put forth the effort, which will not go unnoticed.
Coach Perry is a great instructor. Classes always have great training partners. Top notch folks. This is my home now. BFA!
This is a great family of grapplers. Everyone has been so kind to me starting out totally new to the sport. Both of my small children now attend the kids classes. Perry is an excellent teacher and an extremely skilled marital artist.
I never imagined myself practicing any form of MMA but Perry makes it enjoyable and empowering. Practicing something so physical, especially as a woman, can be intimidating, but everyone in the gym is so kind and welcoming and I have never once felt uncomfortable. Highly Recommend!
Perry introduced me to jiujitsu and aside from providing a wealth of knowledge and guidance across a variety of different combat sports. He was able to foster a community of like minded individuals. My time on the mats here helped instill/reinforce discipline and there is no dollar amount that can be placed on such a valuable experience.
I have been training here for some time now. If you are a beginner or experienced, the culture at this gym is very welcoming. I have improved my BJJ skills greatly here, but more importantly I have learned to be much more discipline in life. I consider Perry a mentor and one of the best coaches I have had the pleasure of working with!
Always feel welcomed and accepted. Whenever I find time for a roll or an intense workout I find myself here. It is a community oriented place to train and I love it. Highly recommend anyone looking to start training or continue training to look here first!
Great place with a solid community. There is a culture in this gym that is very supportive and welcoming to anyone looking to get into the sport and learn. Would definitely recommend this gym to anyone looking to train at all levels.

Top tier detailed instruction paired with a particular focus on gym culture and respect make for an outstanding experience. BFC has cultivated a competitive, and highly collaborative training environment. The culture shines through with the incredibly welcoming and highly supportive training partners. 11/10
I have two kids taking classes here. They love it!!!! We have been coming over 6 months now and they are more confident then ever. The instructors are great with the kids and do a great job teaching the basic techniques to them. The owner is awesome and always smiling. He has developed a great team and atmosphere! Happy my kids can be a part of this!
I started at Brawler's just over a year ago. In that time I've lost 50lbs and learned how to better defend myself and my family. More importantly I discovered a place where I feel welcome and encouraged. Coach Perry has created a community full of friendly and kind people who truly want to help each other get better.
I’ve been training here at BFC for over a year, I came in with some wrestling background and instantly fell in love with the sport. What a great place to train and meet some interesting and kind people. I look forward to coming in everyday and plan to continue my martial arts journey as long as I can!
I have 3 young girls training here for over a year now. They love it. They love the coaches and the other kids. Friendly, welcoming atmosphere. I love going to places that make you feel as comfortable as you would in your own home. The facility is very spacious and full of equipment. I can't recommend this place enough.
I've been at BFC for a little over a year now, and I'm grateful every day that I found this gym. As someone who has always been drawn to combat sports and wrestling, but had zero experience and has never even considered themselves "athletic", I was never made to feel anything but welcome here. I knew nothing when I stared. I hadn't even watched BJJ or MMA before. You can imagine the intimidation one might feel being a novice female walking into a predominantly male MMA gym. Whatever fears I had beforehand were short-lived. Perry goes out of his way to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable training at all levels. I have met some truly amazing people here and the gym continues to grow. I'm always happy to see more women come to train, but I've never had a bad experience with any training partner, male or female. Poor behavior or attitudes are simply not tolerated. This gym has become an important part of my mental and physical health. For anyone hesitating to train MMA or BJJ, I am a 39yr old working mom of 3 who's only regret is that I didn't start sooner. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Having little to no martial arts experience I was nervous about jumping in and starting classes, but I quickly found out that this is the perfect place for starting or continuing your martial arts journey. The coach is very experienced and friendly and everyone who attends is very welcoming and full of positive energy!
I signed my son up for kids classes to help learn self defense and gain confidence. He was just going to try it. Well almost a year later and he is still at it. He is now in the adult classes and was given the opportunity by Coach to help out with the kids class. I cannot say enough about Coach. He is so knowledgeable and he truly cares about the kids. He provides updates on how my son is doing and what he can improve on. He also will just ask how he’s doing and is interested in his life outside of the gym. My son is definitely a part of a family here, even though he is much younger than most of the other members. And I can say they make me feel like I am a part of the family, even though I don’t take any classes. I would recommend BFC to everyone!!
Beginning to train at an MMA gym can seem intimidating, but the environment that Brawler's has cultivated is quite the opposite. The moment you enter the gym you are greeted by friendly faces eager for fresh training partners. I have been training here for roughly a year now, and I have come to see each and every member of this gym as a close family member and friend. Everybody in this gym works hard and genuinely looks to improve themselves and their training partners. Without receiving the support and guidance that I get from these guys daily; I don't know where I'd be or what I'd be doing.
Whether, you are trying to learn self-defense or just looking to find a good workout. BFC, is definitely the place to train! As long, as you have the drive to make a change in your life, no matter what your skill level is, you will only go up! BFC, is an awesome training place filled with some really great people! And a coach that honestly cares about the success of his students! I would highly recommend coming in and experiencing the adrenaline filled atmosphere, while finding out something about yourself, as well! Come join the family... 1,2,3 BFC!
I recently started Jiu Jitsu within the last year and was looking for a place to continue while at school. This was the perfect fit for me, I quickly felt like a part of the team there! Everyone was very welcoming and respectful, learning who I am in and out of the gym. All my partners for class were helpful and Perry, the instructor, truly cares about each of the students development. I learned a lot of valuable techniques and lessons from this school and look forward to coming back in the fall!
This is a great environment. The coach is very easy to work with and makes sure you have a very good understanding of the technique that is being taught when you are drilling. He makes sure there are no questions left unanswered before you leave. Not only the coach but also the other people that train here are like a second family to everyone that comes in to the gym, everyone is very welcoming and willing to help each other.
As someone who has never done sports I was very intimidated to come to my first class. Perry, along with everyone else in the class, made me feel welcomed on the first day. I have fallen in love with every class Perry has to offer with his detailed techniques and thorough instructions. In 3 months I had lost 25lbs and has me in the best shape of my life. Perfect environment for new or experienced people.
This play is amazing. Absolutely love the positive energy and amazing teaching.
I dropped in for a class and was overwhelmed by the quility of this gym. The owner is very knowledgeable and is a great teacher. The classes are for all no matter what your skill level is. This is the place to train!
Great place to workout! I have been a member for several months and attend the cardio kickboxing classes. It’s such a great workout and goes by quickly! I love learning how to box properly and techniques should I ever need to defend myself. The owner is really great and has lots of experience in MMA. There are also catch wrestling classes, Ju Jitsu and grappling classes. The other members are really nice and we are like a family, learning together and we care about each other! You can join with zero experience or lots, Brawlers is very welcoming!
Always a great training experience
Great place to train if you have prior experience but not beginner friendly at all.
Wasn't feeling the vibe at this place. Teacher seemed stressed out and on edge often (and even had a yelling outburst on one occasion). The class seemed to be geared towards teaching the higher level, while the white belts often were left behind and somewhat confused, without full understanding. The classes were quite short, not leaving much time to practice each move taught before the next one was added on. The teacher seemed to get annoyed with questions, even occasional ones, and many there had a too serious attitude. Afraid to make a mistake or ask for help, possibly? Definitely lacking in FUN, imo
