I trained here before I left overseas to my home country and I can gladly say when I return back to the U.S. I will definitely be coming back here. Tim is a genuine and very experienced coach and I’m glad I came across this gym. It’s also very convenient for me since I’m also based in the Tannersville area. Anyone based in tville should definitely consider blackwing. It’s a very nice community and they make you feel welcomed.
Clean, modern, and super welcoming! Tim offers great instruction and runs an awesome gym. BlackWing is a huge boon to the Pocono BJJ community!
We were at Poconos for the weekend and we had also the pleasure to train at Black Wing jiujitsu and mma and we enjoy it, thanks to professor Tim 🥋 Osss
Went up for 2 sessions while visiting a water park. Excellent service, friendly and welcoming environment, definitely going back whenever Im in the area
Tim is an excellent instructor who deals really well with anyone of any experience. The gym is very clean and the people are very friendly. The prices are the most reasonable prices in the area and the classes are plenty. I’m very happy attending this gym and look forward into my journey with BJJ and MMA attending here
Our daughter has been attending classes for a couple weeks now. If you are thinking about bringing your kid to classes, do it here! It's clean, professional, and affordable. Tim is amazing with the kids. He brings a great vibe to the room. She loves it!
Great new Jiu Jitsu and MMA gym in the Poconos led be an even better teacher/coach Tim Gallagher! I just started my journey in martial arts and felt welcomed at this gym from the moment I walked in! Loving it so far and looking forward to learning and progressing!
This place is very convenient for me personally in terms of location. Tim is a great coach. Good for newbies and advanced alike. Very clean, has a shower.
Tim brings years of experience from BJJ and other avenues of martial arts into a challenging, clean, and easy to learn environment. The school is attracting local expertise and I expect this to grow and bring in even more talent through the years. Any level of experience is welcomed and will be nurtured in safe and hands on environment by both Tim and other gym members. Free trial classes are offered and highly encouraged. Tim will also provide private classes which I can personally guarantee, you will be a better practitioner by the end.
I have been training in Brazilian jujitsu since 2019. Tim is one of my instructors, he has taught me key details about complicated techniques that made it possible for me to preform them. Check him out, if you’re looking to get started in the sport or just need a new place to continue your journey.
Tim is a talented instructor whose classes deliver precise, repeatable technique. Tim is also dedicated to his students, ensuring that every class reinforces knowledge and capability. Irrespective of rank, every time you get off the mat after one of Tim's classes you are better than when you got on to it.
