I am so happy I found this Jiu-Jitsu school! Professor Luanna and Professor Anna are absolutely amazing teachers. Their depth of knowledge in both the sport and self-defense is very impressive - they have created a very special, welcoming environment. From day one, I felt like part of the team - everyone, instructors and students, are very encouraging and helpful. Whether you're a beginner or experienced, this is the perfect place to train, learn, and be challenged. Highly recommend!
Professors Luanna and Ana are really great instructors. A lot of great details and high percentage techniques being taught. The mats are nice and clean also. Above all, I think the amount that both Luanna and Ana put into caring for their students, in a genuine way, is the real reason to train here.
My kids visit Boynton once or twice a year for a few weeks to see their Grandmother. They both are serious about their BJJ especially my son who trains 5x a week in the UK and loves to compete. I'd done a bit of research on the best gyms in the area and decided on AVIV for my kids as it was well situated, and had no less than 2 multiple world champions in gi and nogi and a HOF and that sold me. They went training around 2-3 times per week and the feedback was absolutely brilliant from both kids. My wife live streamed quite a few of the sessions as I was lazily back in the UK watching them and noticed the level is extremely high as expected. Nothing bad to say about the club here, it's surpassed our expectations and if the kids love it then that's good enough for me. Big shout out to Patricia who showed my son a really good judo throw which I hope he'll be using once he gets back to England. I'll certainly be training on the next visit to Boynton as I intend to come over on the next visit and train daily (if the wife allows me). Outstanding thank you all!! 2025 UPDATE!! I have eventually managed to get to train here at Aviv Boynton Beach and it has surpassed my expectations. Ana and Luanna are well known world champions AND.... they certainly are also champions of coaching too. I have never visited a school where both professors show such detail to every student and also the mindset behind everything regarding the 'why' behind each sequence and how they speak they certainly know how to relay information so that each student understands their instruction. The other main thing that stands out for me besides the great team they have here, the high level grapplers, the excellent vibe when training is on, they really care about the students and especially the kids as they are the future of BJJ. Both Ana and Luanna are lovely, humble human beings, no egos whatsoever and an absolute credit to the BJJ community and I am looking forward to the rest of my time training here and will be here every time we return for holidays!! Thanks guys you are brilliant!!!
While in pursuit of finding jui jitsu classes that would be a good fit for my 4 year old daughter we tried a few trial classes at other places and I was underwhelmed. UNTIL we had our trial classes at AVIV and wow did these women win us over within the first 20 minutes. Upon arrival my daughter was feeling anxious and crying A LOT, unwilling to participate in the class and Ana came to the rescue. She handled my daughter with such grace, compassion and patience and eventually got her to participate and stayed by her side the entire class. Both Luanne and Ana are such breaths of fresh air and are so wonderful with all of the children. The work they are doing at aviv is NOT transactional like everywhere else we’ve been, rather clearly a labor of love. My family from out of state tune in to watch each and every one of my daughters classes on zoom and each and every time they gush over how wonderful the professors are with the kids. In each class they include building skills, confidence, discipline and technique and almost always end the class with some type of inspirational message. Thank you Aviv for being everything and more we were looking for but most importantly thank you for the kindness you've shown my daughter! Run don’t walk to sign your kids up!
From the first day we walked in Aviv, I knew we found our academy!! The Professor's are so welcoming, sweet and treat you like you are family soon as you open the door. My daughter's eye lit up and she said " I want to come here mommy"!! We are almost a year in and she is so excited to show up and ready to learn. Carolina and luana have been nothing short of amazing for my kids and our family. They provide a safe space for kids to come and express themselves teaching them the rights and wrongs of using our fists. They provide direction to the children and address issues at home without directly calling out a child making parents more comfortable to address issues of anger or aggression between siblings and family. The discipline my kids have learned has been unparralelled to other facilities we have been to. My kids even want to go early just to have that extra play time because they enjoy the environment so much. The ability to watch from the zoom camera is an amazing feature for family who can not be apart of your children's daily lives
Connor and Alex spent 4 years (ages 3-5) in Kung fu and mastered as far as they could go and stopped feeling challenged. At Aviv not only do they feel challenged daily from month one they are having the time of their lives. Kung Fu set up the foundation and Aviv is building the blocks to a brick house of strength and respect.
My daughter has been coming here for close to a year and loves it. The coaches are patient and kind with kids of all abilities. I recommend it to anyone looking for extra-curricular activities for their kids.
My 4 year old struggled with his social skills. He wasn't sure of himself and was sure he didn't want anyone outside of our family talking to him. And then we found Aviv Jiu Jitsu! In just a few short months he has become a different, more confident child. Jiu Jitsu has given him so much self confidence and joy. He asks every morning if its a Jiu Jitsu day! Aviv has been the greatest decision I have made for him. We are so thankful for everyone there and the love they show to all their students! I 1000% Recommend everyone to try it out!

The environment is amazing, with passionate and patient instructors who create a loving, family-like atmosphere. My kids have learned a lot and absolutely love it here. I am so glad I started my 3 year old in lessons with Aviv! The entire team are incredibly knowledgeable beyond jujitsu. Aviv Jiu Jitsu is exactly what the vision of jiu jitsu is all about. Surrounding Area: The location is perfect, in a small shopping center and fighting for parking is not difficult due to the other businesses in the same shopping center. Setting: The facility is extremely clean and fresh at all times, honestly don't know how they do it. Environment/Vibe: The members are SO welcoming and humble, it's an amazing thing. Now I am a big guy, about 250#. The school is extremely diverse with men and women, with a primary focus on finding your strengths and strengthening your weaknesses. Everyone you learn alongside and train with will stop WHATEVER they're doing to help you, and it's a truly wonderful reminder of how jiu jitsu is supposed to be. The Curriculum: Without a shadow of a doubt, top level instructions and learning style from beginner to advanced practitioners. Both instructors are world champions in both Gi and NoGi jiu jitsu, with no question as to their skill level and credentials on being able to teach ANYONE. Moreover: Both Ana and Luanna care. They absolutely care with all of their heart. For reference, I am an out of towner who frequents Southern Florida for work quite often. The first time I ever met these two, it felt as if I hadn't seen two best friends for a couple of years and we were so happy to see one another again. I can see their interactions with their members are so personalized and they REMEMBER their members. No one is a number at Aviv. Everyone is a brother or sister there, and it is felt immediately. The instruction at Aviv is top notch, and is PERFECTLY portioned to be digested and retained. It is not simply: "Here is the technique of the day, drill it a bunch and let's live roll." No, there is a plan and method to the madness. Not only will you learn a certain "avenue" let's say of a movement pattern, but it will be explained broadly with high percentage situations that you will find yourself in, and teach you the real art of jiu jitsu: to use mechanical advantage and technique to overcome a bigger or stronger opponent. There is time made for personalized questions, but it's married beautifully to not being tangential and focus kept on the "avenue" we are learning that day. I will drop into Aviv about 2-3x out of the week I am in town, and I feel as if I get 2-3x seminars in jiu jitsu during that time. I don't know how more people are not learning from these amazing women to transform their game. Summary: Whether you're brand new and have always wanted to try jiu jitsu, or you've been a IBJJF/ADCC competitor and are looking for a growth opportunity, Aviv is the place for you. There's an old saying: "How you do anything is how you do everything." I can say with confidence that Aviv jiu Jitsu does anything and everything exactly how they're supposed to do it. Don't sleep on them. Message me personally if you want to hear more, I can't shut up about them. May Aviv continue to progress and grow as it has in my heart as the love for jiu jitsu has!
Amazing atmosphere in this gym. I went in for a free trail session, before I left I knew that I wanted this place to be my home. From the passion of the coaches to the sense of community the members have it was very refreshing from other gyms. The coaches really have a way of making BJJ yours. Plus, not everyday you get the opportunity to be trained by multiple world champions. 7 months in now; Thank you to the coaches and members for being a part of my journey in and out of the gym. Osss!

I love the community they have built at AVIV - the classes are fun, challenging, and so educational! I live 2,500 miles away and they are so gracious that when I can't be there in person, they allow me to take classes via zoom. My BJJ is growing and evolving and I'm creating amazing friendships at the same time. I'm so thankful for this place and these people!

If you are thinking about starting your children in Jiu Jitsu this is the best there is. When you see these coaches in action their love for what they do and for the kids, well, i've never seen anything like it. We started a month ago and i can tell you we will be here for a long long time. My wife and i both feel like we have found a new family.

I’ve been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for about 9/10 years now. I’ve trained at popular gyms with renowned instructors so when I stepped into Aviv almost a year ago I immediately knew this would be next level training. Besides the resume of championships both Luanna and Ana Carolina have together, it’s the way both of them put their knowledge into one. Every time I train I feel like it’s my first day. So much detail so much knowledge. I can write a book on how amazing this gym is but it wouldn’t do it justice, you have to come in yourself. Thank you Professoras for giving me a home.

I have been training with Aviv for over a year and they have changed my entire game. I had already been training for a year and I felt the previous place was good, but when I jumped into an Aviv class it was on a completely different level. They have truly changed my life for the better. I promise you will not be disappointed and I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. Highly recommend!!!
4 star rating for it being a good gym, but heavily biased towards training only women. If you're new to the area or looking for a new gym and you are a male, expect paying almost $100 for a trial class to rent their gi and pay the mat fee. I understand their niche in training women specifically for self-defense, but what better way to train women than to also welcome men who also believe in women defending themselves?
