I recently started training at Cardona's Academy of Martial Arts, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! From the moment I walked in, the welcoming atmosphere stood out—Master Jhon and his team truly make it feel like a family. The focus here goes beyond just martial arts techniques; they emphasize respect, discipline, and personal growth, which I’ve already noticed in my own confidence after only a few weeks. The variety of programs, from karate to tumbling and self-defense, keeps things exciting and engaging. The instructors are patient, skilled, and genuinely care about each student’s progress. I also appreciate how clean and well-maintained the facility is. If you’re looking for a place that nurtures both physical skills and character, Cardona’s Academy is the real deal. Highly recommend!

I recently joined this karate school, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the instructors were incredibly knowledgeable and patient. Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced martial artist, they tailor their teaching to help you improve at your own pace. The classes are well-structured, focusing not only on techniques and self-defense but also on discipline, confidence, and physical fitness. The facility is clean and well-maintained, with plenty of space for training. The instructors genuinely care about their students’ progress and make each session engaging and challenging. Overall, this is a fantastic place to learn karate, build confidence, and stay active. Highly recommended for anyone looking to start or continue their martial arts journey!

Ms. Izzy delivered an outstanding performance at the Yellow Belt graduation! It’s always inspiring to see a young woman excelling in martial arts and serving as a role model for the next generation of girls. Her dedication, persistence, and passion for the sport make her an example to admire. Watching her progress proves that hard work and determination lead to success. We are proud to have strong and empowering female athletes at Cardona’s Academy, paving the way for more young girls to follow in their footsteps! 💙💪 #GirlsWhoKick #FutureBlackBelt #MartialArtsForGirls #CardonasAcademy

At Cardona’s Academy, the new generation of martial artists is learning leadership from an early age. 🥋 Young students develop discipline, respect, and focus, while the older students, who have grown within the academy, take on leadership roles—mentoring and guiding the next wave of martial artists. This structured approach creates a strong, supportive community where children of all ages thrive, gain confidence, and grow into responsible and disciplined individuals. I highly recommend Cardona’s Academy to any parent looking for a martial arts school in Delray Beach where their child can join a solid and empowering community focused on growth, leadership, and lifelong skills. 💙💪

Enreoling my son at Cardona’s Academy was a turning point in his life. 🥋 Before starting, he was hesitant to try new things, but now, he’s more confident, disciplined, and eager to take on challenges. He trains in Karate, Jiu-Jitsu, and participates in Sparring Fridays, which have transformed his mindset and skills. Learning self-defense, goal-setting, and perseverance has helped him develop not just physically, but mentally as well. The expert instructors, especially Master Jhon and the amazing coaching team, make every child feel valued, supported, and capable. Their dedication ensures that every student thrives in a structured, safe, and encouraging environment. If you're looking for a martial arts school in Delray Beach where your child can grow, Cardona’s Academy is the best investment you can make! 💙

She started as a shy girl, but she has gained confidence, discipline, and leadership skills through karate and self-defense training. The instructors, especially Master Jhon and his family, are incredible role models. They always encourage the students to push their limits while having fun. She loves Sparring Fridays, where she practices in a safe, supportive environment. If you're looking for a martial arts school in Delray Beach that truly empowers young girls, Cardona’s Academy is the best choice! Highly recommend!

CARDONAS is not just a Academy for martial arts it is an experience of life teaching skills for the youths and a reminder to parents that we are the greatest influence in a childs life. Master John drills that into his students and their families. Parents must practice what we teach, students must be grateful for lifes gifts, but gifts are only at their best if you are willing to work hard and develop it. A person must motivate themselves and be encouraged, supported, and cheered on by family. Thank Master John and your staff. What a blessing us parents life.

This is a wonderful family owned business that very much cares for each child. They work to build up your child's confidence which leads leads to your child being more respectful and having overall better behavior. I enrolled both my children here and what a difference a couple of months makes. My son was not confident in himself and was timid and sometimes fearful of trying to new things. After a few months taking karate and being under the guidance of Master Jhon and all the instructors, he was not fearful and shy anymore and he was talking and acting a lot more respectfully. Sending him to this particular karate school has made all the difference in the world and we couldn't be happier. My daughter had confidence...maybe a little too much at times. The classes and guidance given here I believe helped her put her attitude and mouthiness under control. She is so respectful and responsible now which has made this mama proud. The classes and exercise here are top notch and the children stay busy and happy throughout the whole day. Cardona's was our first 'after school care/camp' experience. I will admit I was very nervous thinking about leaving my children at a facility with people I didn't know. But after speaking with Master Jhon I felt instantly at ease and assured that my child would be safe and secure here. Safety and cleanliness has always been their #1 priority. I know because I used to work there before Covid. The team at Cardona's keep a watchful eye on the kids - not that kids don't act like kids - but they are always there to guide children in the right direction. This school was always super clean prior to Covid - I know because I used to help clean and I know their cleaning style (which is to stay very clean...always). Now they have enhanced their cleaning techniques even more due to Covid, so you can't ask for a cleaner place to send your kids. You will not regret sending your kids to this school for either after school care or any of their camps for spring break, winter break, or summer camp. Get ready for your kids to come home with better behavior and listening skills! I should have written this review a long time ago and I'm sorry I didn't write it sooner. Better late than never! Can't recommend this place enough. It is definitely the gold standard. I would give 10 stars if I could. :-)

My daughter has been attending over a year and I honestly wish I can rate it more stars. Since inquiring about a summer camp last year, the first conversation I had with master Jhon was more than basic information, he was very attentive to our needs and the fact that I was able to start my daughter at such a young age at the time, 3, was amazing. She is being taught so much more than martial arts, she is able to build relationships, build trust, self-esteem, and learn discipline. Even during the pandemic, I felt safe bringing my daughter knowing that the family and staff take the guidelines and precautions very seriously, so there was no doubt we would be back when we were able to. The fact that she will be able to go when the school year starts is a plus. I would recommend this establishment to anyone who is needing a safe childcare and also wanting their child to learn self-defense, discipline, and so much more. We definitely love the family and staff at Cardona's Academy.

Everyone at the school is always so supportive and encouraging, from the instructors to the students themselves. The students learn discipline and have fun together. My son has formed some great friendships here. My youngest son could not wait to join Cardonas for summer camp this year. He is a wild one, so I’m grateful for all the exercise and activities at the school. Especially being full time working parents with essential jobs, we’ve always felt so relieved to have the kids in good care, while we are at work. Another plus for us is that Cardonas picks up their students from school for their aftercare program. ... and the parents nights out are always so much fun for the kids! Very disappointing experience with this school. They were teaching a class at my daughter’s school and the last class they called asking to pay $120 for her to graduate and get a graduation certificate. At the beginning of the class they didn’t mention anything about any fee, so I refused to pay it and at the last class they told my daughter how bad they feel for her because her mom didn’t want to pay for her to graduate. So manipulative and unscrupulous!! One of the lessons of martial arts is honor and this place most certainly is not honorable or honest.

my son and I visited this facility back in April, tour didn't go so well no one really helped me until master john heard my cries that none was helping me he then included and help my child and I appreciated it but not a great 1st visit. My child has ADHD and he desperately needed an outlet to cope w some active and anger issues and i thought karate would be amazing. this place is quite expensive tried talking to owner to help with the price cause me being a single mother desperate for my child to find happiness and interest in something i just couldnt afford the class he was trying to get us to sign up for i would have done anything and he was willing to help but for the MORE EXPENSIVE CLASS so i couldn't sign up which saddened myself and more for my son for weeks i thought about this place, then in july i receive a call from Jennifer telling about about a summer promotion they were offering i so wanted to sign up for my child all he talked about was karate. I was so excited for my son. I call to sign us up and we are told NO THAT WAS NOT THE CASE JENNIFER SHOULDN'T HAVE CALLED YOU???? I'm on a list with other mothers who have visited your place whom you have also called and offered the same summer sale. but then we are being shut down. i call and leave MSG for the owner and i didn't receive a call back. Until i call back today to try to speak with owner and he's keen on not changing his mind of the promotion he called to offer but now is declining. he didn't care to hear my voice on the phone today I tried telling him my son really wants this he didn't care to hear what i had to say ..i know at the end of the day its a business. But now I'm just here looking at my child saddened that instead of compassion from a local business in my city. we are being told no don't care and have a nice day.i write this review today with sadness i told the owner i would be writing this review he didn't seem to care.. my child has special needs has lost and been thru so much in his little life i his mother have been thru so much doctors therapist, behavioral visits and all i needed and we wanted was support and we chose the wrong place for support. im very happy to see other families able to enjoy what cardonas have to offer.. but we didnt make the cut.

Verne Moore II

Had a terrible experience with after school program at Cardona's. They kick my children out because they don't know how to teach discipline and keep control of children in their class. And there are not enough teachers for the amount of students that are there to keep an eye on all the children. A lot of bullying and a lot of racism in this school. They also did not refund money owed to me for the rest of the week my kids were kicked out.
