Ms Alysse Martin at ATA Martial Arts in Forest Hill has a talent like no other. She can get any child to stand up straight and listen while also developing a life long relationship with them. Everytime I watch Ms Martin teach I’m in awe by the care that she puts into each and every relationship with every student. The summer camp program at ATA Forest Hill is the true hidden gem. From the field trips to the science classes to the friendships. I would recommend ATA Martial Arts in Forest Hill to any parent who wants their child to discover their true potential!
We absolutely love ATA! The team there teaches such great on and off the mat life skills and it is the one thing my child looks forward to the most each week!
ATA martial has been so great for my daughter she absolutely loves going here. Her instructor is amazing i couldn't of asked for a better one just in 11 weeks she has came such a long way. I definitely recommend taking your children to any of ther 5 branches.

My son Jordan has been with ata for some time now and he loves every moment. Ms Pollard and Mr Gardner has been nothing but encouraging and supportive to not just my son but every person they encounter. It’s always good vibes and great energy. ❤️
What a fantastic place for the kids! The teachers are truly amazing, they have a fun loving, engaging attitude and teach the little ones discipline from the start. We’ve tried so many other after school activities, but our daughter kept asking about going back to karate. Yes, it is a little bit on the pricey side but absolutely worth it! Give them a try, they offer great no commitment intro packages. Mr. Santiago, Ms. Wolkenfuss and Ms. Wilson are a phenomenal team. We LOVE going there.
My son has had a great time learning tai kwon do and the teachers here have done an amazing job helping my son learn and grow and he enjoys coming to class each and every time. I would suggest them to all those who want there children to learn this skill.
Great experience! Mr. Santiago, Miss Wilson and crew give great personal attention to my child! We love it! Also grateful for Mr. and Mrs. Frank’s personal attention to making sure we have a great martial arts program!

There is not enough space to write all the great changes that I have seen in my son since starting ATA in March 2021. We joined to get him out of the house and involved in something to build confidence. If you would’ve seen how bad he was when he first started to where he is now, you wouldn’t believe he was the same kid. The instructors had such patience and love for my boy he continued to get better! ATA is truly a family and we love being part of this big family! I would recommend ATA Maryland to anyone!! They are truly the best at what they do!!
My son joined ATA at the Forest Hill location a year and a half ago. He has developmental delays and trouble with large motor skills as well as big emotions. What we have experienced has been invaluable. He loves both going to class and his instructors. He has developed remarkably in his coordination and balance. The structure has been great for him and even though it’s a group class, the instructors know each child and their strengths and weaknesses. They have been there to celebrate with him when he learned a new skill and take time with him when things get hard. It really is a family there.
My son and daughter are both in the ATA Martial Arts Maryland program at Forest Hill. Mr. Santiago and his instructors are amazing leaders, who are friendly, supportive and have taught my children life lessons they will take with them forever. They have learned confidence, focus, discipline, teamwork and self-defense. I could go on and on. I can’t say enough about this program. I am so proud we are a part of the ATA family. We have made lifelong friends because of this program. We love it so much that both of my children are also enrolled in the ATA summer camp program for the second year in a row. ATA Forest Hill is HIGHLY recommended!!

Bait and Switch! Everyone be very careful of the unethical business practices of this group. My daughter signed up for a 6 week trial for ATA. Upon entering they informed us we had to sign a waiver for one of their membership packages which was a year or month to month (with a 60 day notice to leave). I informed them we just wanted to do 6 weeks to see if my daughter enjoyed ATA. They made her leave crying, as she could not join her friend for the session. This is not consistent with their morals or ethics. Join somewhere else. I now have to deal with a very upset child who just wanted to experience something new. Horrible Horrible martial arts company.
