AMA is more than just another Taekwondo dojo. They demonstrate their mission day in and day out with how they handle their day to day operations but most importantly how they help kids build their confidence and skills. Our child has been enrolled now for 5 years and we couldn’t be happier with the progress. Our child is on the spectrum and this has never limited him in being part of the group. The staff is patient, caring, firm and willing to learn and work on his level.

About 4 months ago I moved my son to AMA Martial Arts from another local school and it’s been an awesome experience for both my son and me as the parent. The staff is not only accommodating but they are also attentive and supportive of the children. The instructor spent a few minutes after class one day to make sure my son was prepared for testing the following week. I highly recommend this school for martial arts.

My son has been coming here for almost a year now. Master Ayala is an amazing instructor and the rest of the instructors are great as well. They teach discipline, respect, self esteem and belief. They emphasize this within every class. There is always enough instructors to give individual guidance to any student that isn’t grasping what they’re doing as quickly as others. Y’all, there is a reason this place has so many five star reviews. My 6 year old was having behavioral problems in school. Things like talking when he wasn’t supposed to, interrupting his teacher, doing things he shouldn’t to make other kids laugh. My sister suggested I put him in a martial art. We tried a couple places and absolutely fell in love with Ayala Martial Arts. The staff is unreal…they are so good with these kids. They work to instill respect, discipline, integrity, and confidence, among other great character traits. My son has been taking classes since November and now we get emails from his teacher praising him for the improvement in his behavior. Mr. Vargas, Mr. Ayala, Mr. Torres, Mr. Diaz, Master and Mrs. Ayala are great examples to the children and are always respectful and polite. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Now let’s talk about something else. I’ll be honest…martial arts is one of the more expensive extra curricular activities out there. However, after seeing the changes in my son after just a two week trial, we decided to make the investment in our child’s life. His brother also attends now and they are both doing well. I love watching them get more confident with each class. And they understand that to become a black belt, they have to live the TKD values outside of the dojo as well. If you are thinking about doing this for your child, just do it. We wish we started sooner. Thank you to the staff for being so awesome!

The staff and instructors are amazing! They work so well with the kids and build the kids up in a great way, always addressing them with respect. They notice where the kids need help and correct their moves on the spot. The address the kids by name and give them a great feeling of belonging. My son has been to the trial week and he LOVES it there! I called to ask a question and Mr. Diaz said he'll call me back the next day with an answer and he kept his word. Not only is Master Miller a "master" of his trade, he is EXCELLENT with the kids! He has clearly found his calling working with kids and he is an expert in the field. For us having our six year old boy in Martial Arts benefits our whole family. Martial Arts reinforces the discipline and respect we are trying to instill at home. Additionally, Master Miller is another credible point of accountability for our son. When it comes to schoolwork and behavior & listening at school and at home we can say, "Would Master Miller be sad or proud of you right now?" it's great because it's not just us harping on him! There are also monthly "homework" pages to earn merits at Apex which always have great lessons such as kindness, respect, perseverance, confidence, etc I wish I had the time to join the adult classes! My four year old has been enrolled at Apex Martial Arts for six months and in that time, we have seen amazing improvements with discipline, listening, patience, and focus - both at home and at school! I love that they teach lessons beyond just the moves - cycles focusing on confidence and perseverance have taught my son lessons that he will apply to other areas throughout his life. Additionally, important lessons like what to do if a stranger grabs them and how to deescalate conflict are taught. Ryan does a great job and the kids really respect him. 10/10 would recommend!

My daughter Hannah was awarded her yellow belt today. This is her second promotion in six months. She loves doing Taekwondo, and I'm so happy she's doing this. She has always been a "team sport" player, and this is her first "solo" sport. It builds self-confidence, and teaches her how to defender herself. I have been going to Ayala's Martial Arts for aver 2 years and I don't know what I would do without it! everyone is so friendly and welcoming during the classes. I take the adult classes - Kickboxing and Hyper Fight Club. Master Ayala really cares about the students he is teaching and I have learned so much by studying under him! I am much more confident that I can defend myself due to the training Master Ayala teaches in the Hyper Fight Club. He has so much knowledge and skill I wouldn't want to be trained by anyone else!

Since the tender age of 5yrs old my daughter had shown interest in martial arts. We signed her up to a form of karate in which she excelled beautifully but as a parent i was not quite seeing her being pushed to greatness. When we walked into Ayala's Martial Art Academy I immediately saw the way he pushed his kids to their limits and beyond but most importantly how he was showing them respect and the courage to defend themselves. My heart filled just recently when my daughter came home from school feeling so proud of herself. She had used one of her self defense moves on a classmate of her's that in a playfully manner snuck up on her from behind and bear hugged, her senses immediately responded and she freed herself in seconds. Her classmates all saw it and were in shock of how quickly she responded and asked for repeated demonstrations. That is my TOP priority knowing she is capable of knowing when to react and when to walk away. She is now on her 2nd yr of attending ATA National Tournament in Orlando and i know she will someday follow in Master Ayala's steps maybe even more **wink wink** lol It is a FANTASTIC gym and a FANTASTIC ATA Family. During the first class he took, we were amazed at the kindness and the professional attention you gave him. Your patience and insight for every child is amazing. My family and I were looking for a local gym that offered something for each of us. I can say it was a blessing that I found a gym that not only meets our expectations, but exceeds them! The professionalism of the Instructor and his wife are first class. The actual facility is welcoming, organized, clean and friendly. I strongly believe they have something for everyone, weather you are an expert or a beginner. The changes I've seen in my family in the past 3 weeks are priceless.
