My daughter has really enjoyed taking classes at American Blackbelt Martial Arts. She is learning skills that will help her in her education, as well as if she were to ever need to defend herself. Sensei is dedicated to working as a team with the parents and helps kids better understand what they are doing on the floor can transfer into their everyday lives. We looked forward to the 2 days a week that we attend classes!
This school has given our children an all-around character building experience from learning patience, discipline, self defense, assertiveness, responsibility, leadership, inclusiveness, and ambition. Sensei sees the potential and talents in every student, and they come away realizing they’re capable of much more than they ever could have imagined. The family focused curriculum and flexibility in the scheduling makes this place a natural extension of our family routine. This place is a legitimate blessing to the community.

To start, I’ve been attending this dojo since before I can remember, the skills and discipline I have learned here are apart of my every day life. My Sensei is an amazing teacher and will teach you or your child in the best way that you or they learn. Putting punching and kicking aside, the concepts applied at this school are some of the most useful and important skills you can learn. I can say without a doubt that without this school I would be a completely person than I am today.

Sensei Davidson is excellent with kids! My daughter has been attending his classes since she was of age to go. He teaches more than punches and kicks. He teaches respect, morals and he truly cares about each and every one of his students. Sensei cares as much about the choices these kids make outside of the dojo as he does about the ones they make in it. Definitely recommend ABK!
If you are looking for a belt mill that will merely give your kid a belt after you pay a bunch of money for tuition and belt testing fees don't come here. Mr. Davidson offers authentic Karate instruction, great sparring, is very personable, and compassionate. Whether you are looking for a place to send your child, you are an adult and have never trained, or you have a black belt, you can't go wrong training here. He has nurtured my growth in Karate for years and I am very blessed from his guidance. This is a hidden gem of a dojo, and well respected within the Karate community.

I started attending in 5th grade when I was the super shy kid without any confidence and now, seven years later, I'm not super outgoing but I am not as shy anymore and I have a lot more confidence in myself and my abilities all thanks to Sensei Jeff Davidson and all the other amazing people. I'm glad I had the chance to study with all the amazing people at American Blackbelt because it has definitely prepared me for most anything that will be thrown my way and if I don't know how to handle it, I know where to go to get help. I think everyone should attend at least one class at American Blackbelt.
You'll find no other karate school anywhere better than this one! Sensei Davidson is a true martial artist in every sense of the words, and a great person.
Have known Sensei for over 15 years and I can assure you that he is the best of the best. You'll not only learn the beautiful style of Isshin Ryu karate but practical self-defense methods for all ages. This is not your typical "fast food" karate dojo like you find everywhere else. There is no cutting corners when it comes to earning your belt. You gotta earn it fair and square. No matter how long that may take. And remember: Champions never give up!
