Amazing gym for new, inexperienced, and experienced BJJ practitioners alike. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Professor Jason is extremely experienced and thorough in his instruction. This gym is loaded with upper belts that are ready and willing to help you achieve your goals and understand the lessons. The gym was very clean and well maintained. This is a must go gym whether you are looking for a new place to call home or if you are traveling to the Indianapolis area and just need a place to hone your skills.
Phenomenal place. Everyone is there to help each other become better. Appreciated the instruction and time rolling. If you live in the area then join. If you are in town visiting reach out to them and see if there is an open time for you to drop in.

Fishers BJJ is everything you can ask for in a gym. I’m in my 40’s, and it was slightly intimidating to walk in for that demo class…2+ years later, I am so glad I did. The environment and culture are excellent, and that is a reflection of the owner and staff. I’ve really enjoyed training and learning with a great group of people.
Let’s start with the basics: Clean ✅. Courteous staff ✅. Knowledgeable instructors ✅. Friendly and inviting school culture ✅. What is not to like? The not so basics… their professor (it’s Jason, right?) has an incredibly high level of knowledge that he easily relays to his students in an efficient manner and quickly gets them working on that technical relay of skills in differing but effective ways via drills. Finding that and a culture that fosters collaboration over competition is no small task. He had managed that fine line and it shows in his school. I go there every chance I get when visiting Indianapolis. Why aren’t you training here?

Fishers BJJ is a great place to train! Being a petite female I was a little intimated going into my first class but the atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming. I had the privilege to roll with the owner who happens to be a black belt and it was a great experience!
Jiu Jitsu can be very intimidating and it took me months to sign up. I finally did and I’m glad I did. Fishers BJJ will make you feel welcomed and the community is the best regardless of skill level. Jason is a great coach.

Hiiiii!!! I am Austin Langford and I love Team Fishers BJJ and Boxing I have done Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for about 2 months and Boxing and Muay Thai for about 6 Months. And I have Gotten so strong :D And everyone there is a family and I love it :)). We have a lot of pro fighters and a lot of Amateur Fighters and entire team. I even have the Dojo Tattooed on my chest :D. They are helping me train to become an MMA Fighter!
The day I joined Fishers bjj and boxing was the smartest decision I’ve ever made. Coach Kesler goes above and beyond to make everyone better. Everyone is super friendly and pushes each other in positive environment. Coach David is amazing with Muay Thai class as well. I’m sure no one will regret joining this amazing gym. I am proud to say that I am a part of this family.

I have been training in martial arts for over two decades and with Fishers BJJ for the last 7 years. From day 1 every person who steps on the mat is welcomed as a member of the family. Coach Kesler goes out of his way to make sure that happens. And the decades he has spent honing his coaching ability is illustrated through the details he conveys in every lesson, and his uncanny ability to troubleshoot issues. Whether it’s technique refinement, a bonding experience, or a life lesson, everyday I’m here I better myself.
I’ve been training here for just over a year - I’m a 36 year old who trains BJJ for fitness and for fun and this is an amazing place for me to train. Each night on the mats- we have people from all walks of life, men and women of all ages and fitness levels, professional fighters, hobbyists like myself, and people who fall everywhere on the spectrum in between. This gym really has something for everyone and makes BJJ- a serious fighting art- accessible to everyone. If you’re a young person who wants to train with some of the fiercest competitors- this is the place for you. If you’re chronologically challenged like me and just want to have some fun, get in shape, and learn to grapple- this is also the place for you. Fishers BJJ and martial arts also has a fantastic program for kids- my 10 year old trains BJJ, but they also have an amazing taekwondo program at the sister gym next door. This gym is ran by a legit black belt who is always available to answer questions- who treats each person like they are an important addition to the family- and who also will throw down with us on the mats every night. I can’t say enough good about this gym- I’m so glad that I found BJJ and I’m equally glad that I found a world class gym right here in Fishers.

Incredible Place. The people that run it and also that train there are as nice as can be and as welcoming as any gym I have ever gone to. The facilities are top notch and it is a truly great learning environment. Check it out if you are in the area or traveling through; I can't recommend them enough. I was there for a Gordon Ryan seminar and was constantly impressed by the attitudes and skills of the people that make up this gym. I was dumb, and forgot my notebook, and they were nice enough to mail it back to me, and refused to take any money from me even to cover the cost. Rarely in my life have I come across such a great gathering of people; so if you are in the area and looking for a gym, do yourself a favor and join their community. Jiu jitsu enriches the lives of those that stick with it, and it is worth it.
My friend had lost his house in Florida from the hurricane he had to move to Indiana with family he loves rolling he found this gym and told us he was going to try it out after he got back he had called us and told us how great it was and the people there I'm grateful for everything they have done for my friend we need more places and people like Fishers Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and boxing gym
I think there’s a saying that goes something like: if you want to know the true measure of someone’s character, you can see by how they treat those who can do nothing for them. My family is currently displaced by Hurricane Michael and from the first moment I stepped into Fishers BJJ and Boxing, they have done everything they possibly could to try and make me feel at home. They are some of the nicest people I have ever met in my entire life, and some absolute beasts on the mats. I can’t believe how fortunate I am, and how much they have truly done for my wife, our daughter, and me. If you are reading this and considering trying Jiu Jitsu, or are moving to the area and looking for a place to call your new home gym, or want to introduce your kids to Jiu Jitsu or anything else Fishers offers, there is no other place in the area that can give you what Fishers can, I 100% believe that.
Jason is an artist he makes it look so easy he is a natural and the reason why he’s being promoted to a black belt. Super nice guy, the people are all super friendly and even they are willing to teach and have patience. Great sport but also great knowledge for self defense. It is also a great workout. Every time I’m done it feels like I’ve ran a 5k race. I feel like I got a good strength workout and like I’ve lost weight too. I’m a veteran and this is exactly what I needed after the Army. I strongly encourage veterans to join. Great instructor! Great people! Best gym! It is an honor to be a part of this team.
Very family oriented school. Welcomes students of all ages, and they now how to Taylor the classes to each of them. My family’s experience here has been absolutely amazing, and I would absolutely recommend this school to any individual or family.
When I was in town for thanksgiving I stumbled into this place for an open mat only to find some of the nicest an most welcoming folks ever (even by jiu-jitsu standards which is really saying something). I definitely recommend stopping by to train if you have the opportunity.
I love this this. You can train in non, boxing and muay thai. The facility is great and the people are even better.
Well put as my friend Kasi Young said great family atmosphere and the whole team of instructors there are very knowledgable about what they teach. Whether it's Taekwondo, BJJ, or just Boxing they know what they are teaching you are useful techniques they wouldn't be teaching their students if it wasn't. The people there are very inclusive of everyone. The Taekwondo curriculum they teach is part of a national orginazation A.K.A Taekwondo America which frequently have tournaments and events nation wide. Personally it's just an all around awesome place to train/work out with great people who know what they are doing.
Great people - Excellent instruction - Tons of classes - Convenient location
When a potential customer walks in, you want to seize that opportunity. That did not happen here. The nice young lady would not provide any info about BJJ without me scheduling a first class. She was following a script and started by asking me if I had an appointment, then insisted in scheduling a demo class when I was just looking for basic info to even decide if that is what I wanted for my son. Felt like doing business with a car dealer. No price, no nothing other than a schedule sent over email. Very awkward and not customer friendly. I am about to close on another gym that was a longer drive for me (10th planet) but had a very welcoming and personal interaction as I walked in. I even got to chat with one of the instructors, plus they didn’t require a Gi (uniform) which my son liked better. I can see the value of a demo class, and most of gyms give that option, but not wanting to talk to your customer and provide basic info until this happens, is not a great way to approach it.
The owner of this gym tore my elbow tendon within 15 seconds of what was supposed to be a "flow roll". I was forced to pull out of my competition that was two weeks out. He is a black belt, I am a white belt and he has no control, no discipline, and no integrity. Very disappointed with the actions of a man who is supposed to be a leader. After he tore my tendon he left the gym and on his way out told me I would be fine in 3 days. That was obviously not the case.
