Dom Head Coach

Black Belt

Dom has been teaching Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Lichfield since Alento opened in 2019. He built the club around the belief that beginners should be coached properly from day one. His classes are structured, clear, coach-led and focused on learning.

Charles Dennett

Purple Belt

Charles has been training BJJ since 2016 and started training with Alento in 2020. He runs structured beginners classes that blend techniques with positional games and simple foundational principles.

Elliot Homer

Elliott has been part of Alento since the beginning and actively competes in both gi and no-gi. He coaches across all levels, including kids classes, helping beginners and experienced students progress at their own pace.

Leah Carless

black belt

Leah has trained in BJJ for almost 13 years, working her way from white belt to black belt. She coaches at Alento and has been instrumental in making the club welcoming for women who want to train.

I can’t recommend Alento enough! The instructors genuinely care about each student’s progress and take the time to guide you, as do those learners in higher belts! The classes are fun yet challenging and there’s a good sense of community. Great for building confidence and developing new skills. Never too late to start.
