As a 51-year-old woman, I was looking for a non-traditional workout that would challenge me physically and mentally—and A-Force Brazilian Jiu Jitsu delivered more than I expected. I decided to try it out on a whim, and signing up for a free class was super easy. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. I signed up my two boy’s and they absolutely loved it! The professors here are amazing. They take the time to learn names and each kids skills. We are so happy to have joined the A Force family!

A-Force BJJ has been an incredible influence on my 8 year old son. He has gained confidence, discipline and self-awareness, and made some fantastic friends. Luan, the lead instructor for the Port Washington location has an amazing gift for working with children of all ages - he is an outstanding role model and really knows how to inspire and bring out the best not just in my son but all of the kids. The best Academy on LI! I've been attending BJJ classes for a few months, and it has been great. The people are super nice, and Professor Luan is passionate about BJJ and will push you to give your best. As a woman, I highly recommend taking classes to learn self defense skills.
Was on vacation in Port Washington so decided to drop by for some No Gi. Fantastic instructor and great training partners. Very clean and hospitable. Went over a cool kimura set up from side control and got some good rolls in. If I was local then I’d definitely be a regular here. Oss.

The kid has been enjoying the class here - at one time, he wanted to go every day. The teachers/professors are not only professional but also truly love BJJ, so you know you are going to get good experience here. We have been to another place before, maybe not a lot of comparisons, but we do think Andre's teams are great educators.

Enrolling my daughter and myself to A-Force BJJ Academy has been one of the best decisions we've made since moving to Long Island. The professors and coaches are all professional, skilled in their art, and their attention to detail is phenomenal! I've seen such so much change w/ my daughter on and off the mat. Professor Luan and Professor Andre have created a great environment where parents feel comfortable and where kids can learn BJJ, respect, and discipline. As for myself, I've trained BJJ for a few years but needed to stop because of some health issues. I thought training was no longer an option for me. Enrolling my daughter encouraged me to try training again. It wasn't easy, and a bit humbling, but the encouragement and motivation I received from the instructors and community got me from not being able to do 1 class a week to a point where I'm at the best shape of my life! If you're looking for a BJJ school where you and your kids can learn one of the best martial arts in a great environment, then I highly recommend A-force BJJ!

I was referred by my friend who has their kids in A Force. I called for a trial for my kids and one of my child enjoyed it and I signed him up for it. The professors, Luan, Alex and Andre are exceptionally kind and professional. I felt comfortable having my child train there.
I have been training at both the Port Washington and Great Neck academies for about a month. They are clean and safe. The instructors, Alex and Luan, are knowledgeable and extremely patient. They both give clear instruction and are great about making sure the entire class understands before moving on. I could not be happier that both of these academies are available to me and that I have started my training with the the A-Force team.
I've been training at A-force for a little over three months and I've enjoyed every class to date! The professors are very personable and helpful. It's also a great way to get back in shape after lockdown :)
My son trained here since April. He used to be the type of kid who is not active at all. Now he loves it! He goes at least 4 times a week. He just received his 4th tripe few days ago!
I love this place! I trained here at least 4 times a week, both in Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. It's such a soothing experience. Every time I walked out with a peace of mind and new inspiration.
I would like to recommend A Force BJJ Academy to everyone who want to improve their physical condition. I am a 64 year old man who started training seriously last year with A Force, and now I am very happy with the result. I enjoy the mental aspect of the training as well. It really make me strong mentally. The academy is clean and well kept. Coaches are friendly, and knowledgeable. Training there is fun and safe. Overall, it is a great place to train your body and mind, and make some friends along the way.

The “all you can eat” business model encourages consistent and frequent attendance, which is exactly what you need for an intricate sport like BJJ. The other members are invested and friendly, with the right mix of belts, and beat you up just the right amount so you learn. I would recommend A-force to anyone who wants to learn BJJ, irrespective of level.

A-Force BJJ Academy has been a life changing experience for my children. Between soccer, basketball,swimming, dance and countless other activities, none of them compare to the experience my kids have at A- Force with all three professors. Professor Andre treat my children as if they are his own and his passion for the craft is evident with the other two professors at the academy. Professor Luan rolls around with my 4 year old and you can actually see the joy in his face when the kids are having fun with him. Professor Alex is a amazing with the kids and they learn and ton from him. My children’s confidence and general disposition has improved vastly since starting BJJ. Not only do the professors teach them BJJ but they teach them respect, and discipline. We feel like family there and implore everyone to give it a try!

I dropped in for a class at this location while spending some time nearby. The gym is new, clean, and well planned. The instructor was knowledgeable and explained techniques clearly. Some gyms have a suspicious vibe of outsiders. But, the vibe here was welcoming. No one tried to rip my arm off. I would definitely head back to this gym again if spending a weekend in the area and would consider training here long-term if I lived near by.
Andre Monteiro is a world class instructor. Our kids love training with him and well as my wife and I. His ability to get students to understand important details to execute techniques is unmatched!

Good gym, great atmosphere and clean place. I went there few times for a seminar and train with The students and the instructors, always very welcoming. If you really looking for a selfdefense, sport or just a environment to spend time and be healthy, there is the place.
I mostly train at the great neck location but today was my first day at Port. A force BJJ is an amazing academy and I could not be happier that they opened a location closer to my home. The instructors really care about every student and all the fellow students are super nice people. The new academy is very clean and nice. It's also in a great location. Top of the line academy!

BJJ - Reason why i train or have trained BJJ is that when your at the gym or cycling or jogging your still thinking You repeat the problems in your life again and again, although you get rid of your energy your still mentally plugged in. A- force is a place you can escape from your day to day stresses. The classes are mixed between all sizes, levels and ages. The coaches understand the differences of age and physic. The instructors are legit Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belts and active competitors. There are no egos at the gym and it is a great place to begin or continue your Brazilian Jiu Jitsu training with great instructors and training partners. You can either take classes in this location or Great Neck location.

Great instructors and a good bunch of people to train with. You can train at the more expensive schools with big names but you won’t probably even see them in a beginner class. Here, the classes are taught by well qualified black belts.
Outstanding instruction at a moderate pace for longevity!! After 4 years of the tatami, it’s been great to return with these team of instructors. Outstanding!!! Highly recommended!
