After retiring from the Army and Moving Back to the KCK/KCMO area and needing to find a new location to train Jiu-Jistu. The 10th Planet Kansas City Jiu Jitsu / Lone Wolf MMA has welcomed my wife, and I just like family. We have been training for two months now with Coach Jeremy and his 10th Planet / Lone Wolf Team. I am super impressed with his coaches how they have set up their welcome package and Discord communication (with everything you could imagine) is amazing. Friendly, clean, low-stress, and curriculum-based way to learn the most essential martial art for grappling and self-defense. I have trained there for two years and never heard of or witnessed anyone beat up, humiliated, or even lose their temper. Space shared with Beatniks Dance Studio guarantees everyone is well-mannered. No egos, just mutual encouragement and like-minded fellowship that extends beyond the gym.

I began attending classes here with a friend, initially feeling hesitant as I hadn’t done any cardio in quite some time. However, by following the coaches’ guidance, I quickly became immersed in the process. Soon enough, I found myself fully engaged, purchasing rash guards, and becoming a part of an incredible community I hadn’t known existed. The Tenth Planet community, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as a whole, have had a profound impact on my life—helping me lose 40 pounds, manage social anxiety, and providing a valuable structure for personal growth and learning.

One of the coolest gyms I have ever been to. Initially, what sold me on the gym was the cool colors and the nogi specialties. But when I showed up, the gym became mucy more then that. The members all came up to me to introduce themselves, the coaches give tons of 1 on 1 attention, and they nitpick my moves (which I love by the way) which makes me perfect every thing as I am very detail oriented. I told this to my coaches day 1, and they accomadted that and nitpick me like I want. In my opinion, that's a sign of great coachint, and every coach is like this. I absolutely love this gym, and don't plan on going to any other gym.

This is THE gym to go to in the Kansas City area. As an active-duty army officer, I move around a lot and have trained at many gyms across the country. By far, 10th Planet Kansas City is one of the best gyms I have ever trained at. The instructors are highly experienced, the atmosphere is extremely welcoming, and it is a family-friendly place! If you move or get stationed in the area, I highly recommend this gym.
Clean, safe, and friendly learning environment. There are many classes throughout the week that cater the MMA and/or no-gi jiu-jitsu enthusiast, hobbyist, competitor, and anything in between. The vibe in the gym is one that makes it easy to create many friendships and really highlights the power of team building, consistency, and safety. Very reasonable monthly cost without the creepy predatory contracts. Highly recommend!

Lone wolf mma has been my gym since 2018. I contacted Jeremy via instagram as I was getting ready to get out of the military , I’m originally from California and I was from a different 10th planet out there and so I contacted him and asked him if I can come check out the gym and he was and has been since welcoming and always caring about his students. I instantly signed up and have been apart of lone wolf family since I have achieved many goals and will continue too achieve many more! Lone wolf is family always!
Good coaches, good classmates, and a fun environment to learn. Coming from football and wrestling the coaches understand the differences in the sports as well as the similarities and can relate. Overall the environment is safe, but still has enough drive to make for an interesting experience.
This is the best martial arts school around! If you're looking for top notch jiu-jitsu, stand up, or wrestling, look no further! Couldnt recommend it more!

I stopped by here while working in the KC area and was glad I did. While I am from the South and appreciate Southern hospitability, Jeremy, James, Blake and the boys went above and beyond and made me feel like family. In addition to the friendly atmosphere the level of competition and technical acumen was superb. They train four nights a week with standup preceding the BJJ class three of the four nights. The BJJ is 10th Planet and totally worth it (great training and the coolest rash guards around). I train at a predominately gi oriented school but will definitely be taking back some of the techniques I learned. If you are in the KC area and are looking for a place to train I highly recommend Lone Wolf MMA.
