Yate is the home of the Bristol Pro events run by Pro Sport Grappling, now held under the Polaris PSG name. The Bristol Pro series returns regularly and makes up most of the town's BJJ competition calendar. The Tanto Submission Grappling Showcase has also been held in Yate.
Just under half of events list Gi and No-Gi divisions, and around a third include an absolute division. Kids divisions are less common. November is by far the busiest month, with further events in May and October.
