Tulsa is a regular stop on the Oklahoma BJJ calendar, with occasional events in nearby Broken Arrow. The American Grappling Federation runs the AGF US Open here, its most frequent Tulsa event, along with the AGF Tulsa Open.
NEWBREED holds Tulsa championships in spring, summer and fall, and United Grappling and Submission Challenge have also brought events to the city.
Gi and No-Gi divisions are offered in roughly equal measure. Around three in ten events include kids divisions, and fewer than one in five have an absolute division. December is the busiest month, followed by August and February, with more events in November and July.
