Coral Springs is a regular stop on the South Florida BJJ circuit, and NEWBREED is the main organizer in the city.
NEWBREED's recurring events include the Coral Springs Fall Championship, the Florida Crystal Cup, the Coral Springs New Year Open and Summer Championship, the South Florida Championship and the U.S. Jiu Jitsu Championship. NAGA has also held its South Florida Grappling Championship in the area, and some events run in nearby Wellington.
Around half of events offer both Gi and No-Gi divisions, and around half include an absolute division. Kids divisions are less common. November, June and January are among the busiest months for tournaments.
