Chattanooga's BJJ competition calendar is led by NEWBREED and the American Grappling Federation. NEWBREED runs seasonal events including the Chattanooga Fall, Summer, Winter and Spring Championships, while AGF hosts the Chattanooga Open and Chattanooga Championships. Most events are held in Chattanooga, with some in nearby East Ridge.
Most tournaments offer both Gi and No-Gi divisions, and around two in five include kids divisions. About a quarter run an absolute division. September is the busiest month, followed by August, November, May and April.
