WAYCHAMP OPEN - YOUTH LEAGUE PATHWAY

Dear  Coaches, Athletes and Families,

Following the incredible energy of the WT Grand Slam Youth Final in China, where the globe’s elite young talents put the future of the sport on full display, the momentum is officially shifting to Australia.

On December 6th, 2026, the Waychamp Open arrives as a landmark event, proudly launching the Taekwondo Grand Slam Youth League Pathway. This ambitious new initiative by Waychamp Australia is designed to bridge the gap between local competition and the international spotlight, creating a clear and direct route for Australia's rising stars to develop, compete, and shine on the world stage.

Why This Event Matters

• The Ultimate Goal: Earning a coveted spot on the Waychamp Australia Team to compete at the prestigious World Taekwondo Grand Slam Youth League Final in China (2027).
• A True Development Ecosystem: Designed to identify raw talent locally and polish it into elite international representation.
• A New Era for Australian Youth Taekwondo: Uniting the nation’s most driven athletes, coaches, and clubs under one premier competitive banner.

This is more than just a tournament—it is a launching pad for Australia's next generation of champions. For those who dream bigger, train harder, and fight smarter, the journey to the global stage starts right here.
