📅 Event Details
Location:4517 E Mallory Circle, Hangar 109Mesa, AZ 85215(Falcon Field – Blue & Silver Hangars)
Schedule:
- Doors Open: 8:00 AM
- Weigh-Ins: Begin at 8:00 AM (No-Gi uniform)
- National Anthem: 8:45 AM
- Matches Begin: 9:00 AM
Brackets will be released the week of the tournament. Please review and notify us of any issues.
⚖️ Weigh-Ins
Athletes may weigh in anytime after doors open in their No-Gi attire.
🏅 Format & Brackets
- Double elimination (2-match minimum)
- Brackets with 2 athletes: Best of 3
- Brackets with 3 athletes: Round robin
- Medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
🔀 Bracket Adjustments
Divisions may be combined based on registration numbers to ensure matches.We prioritize safety first, then competitive fairness.

🔀 Bracket Placement & Division Adjustments
Divisions are created primarily for sign-up purposes.The information you provide during registration — such as age, weight, and belt rank — helps us determine the best fit and make safe adjustments as needed.
As the tournament organizer, Veterans Breakthrough reserves the right to move athletes between divisions (age, weight, or belt) when necessary to:
- Ensure fuller, more competitive brackets
- Maintain fair and safe matchups
- Provide maximum value and mat time for every athlete
All adjustments are made thoughtfully and, when needed, with input from coaches and professors.Our ultimate goal is to make sure every competitor gets meaningful matches and a great experience while keeping safety and fairness our top priorities.
👕 Event Shirts
Register by September 26, 2026 to receive a free event shirt. Shirts must be picked up at the event. No shipping.
💸 Costs
- Early Registration Fee: $80
- Normal Registration Fee: $90
- Spectator Fee: $10
- Registration Deadline: October 31, 11:59 PM
- All proceeds support Veterans Breakthrough’s programs for veterans.
❌ No Refund Policy
All registrations are final.
If you cannot compete, a credit will be issued through Smoothcomp and must be requested prior to the registration deadline.
No refunds. No exceptions.
