Ruleset:

All brackets will be run using IBJJF rules, please familiarise yourself with these rules prior to competition. 

Rashguard and grappling shorts must be worn, these do not have to be colour coded with belt rank. 

*kids brackets and timings may vary from IBJJF timing, weight and age in order to accommodate matches and for safety & improvement of the overall experience for the young competitors.

** Competitors who have not received an official belt rank but have competed in MMA at any amateur level must compete in a minimum of Blue belt for Gi or Nogi (Adults & Juvenile) and Yellow/Green/Orange (Kids/Teens).

** Competitors who have not received an official belt rank and have had at least one Professional MMA fight, must compete at Purple belt as a minimum.

** Judo Black belts must compete at minimum of blue belt level.

Any violation of these rules will result in immediate disqualification without refund and could result in a ban from all Trident events for the disqualified party and/or associated team.

*event capped at 400 adult competitors

*If there are less than 3 entries in a division, competitors will be merged divisions.  This is to prevent competitors being left with no matches in their division. If this is not an option, and there is no one in a competitors division, and they are unable to compete in a higher category, then a credit to another event or default medal will be offered.
