The Battle will have the following events:

SPORT JIU-JITSU FIGHTING (JJIF 3 PART FIGHTING)

  • 3 MINS U16/U18/Adults (18+) and 2 MINS UNDER 14 AND MASTERS
  • WIN WITH ONE IPPON IN ALL 3 PARTS (STRIKE, THROW, HOLDDOWN/SUBMISSION)
  • 3 POINTS (IPPON) FOR HEAD KICK OR SUBMISSION
  • 2 POINTS (IPPON) FOR UNBLOCKED CLEAN STRIKE, CONTROLLED THROW OR 15 SECOND HOLDDOWN

JJIF CONTACT JIU-JITSU FIGHTING (JJIF HEAD IMPACT FREE Contact Jiu-Jitsu)

  •  Adults (18+) Only
  • STRIKES (Punch, Kick, Knee) ALLOWED IN ALL PARTS (Standing, Gripping or on Ground)
  • Inside and outside leg kicks above the knee are allowed - no straight strikes to knees
  • No kicks or knees to down opponent 
  • NO STRIKES ALLOWED TO THE HEAD IN ANY PART
  • Match is won by submission or stoppage (TKO, Unable or Unwilling to defend, 5-Count)

Three points (ippon) are awarded for a head kick or submission. Two points (ippon) are awarded for an unblocked clean strike, controlled throw, or 15-second holddown.
What strikes are allowed in JJIF Contact Jiu-Jitsu Fighting?
Punches, kicks, and knees are allowed in all parts: standing, gripping, or on the ground. Inside and outside leg kicks above the knee are allowed, but straight strikes to knees are not allowed.

No. Strikes to the head are not allowed in any part.
