GLOBAL GRAPPLING CHAMPIONSHIP – MACON, GEORGIA | SEPTEMBER 12

After the incredible turnout and response to our inaugural Global Grappling Championship in Miami earlier this year, we're excited to bring the action to Macon, Georgia on September 12th!

This event is built exclusively for No-Gi competitors and promises nonstop excitement, fast-paced matches, and high-level competition from start to finish.

Special Bonus Seminar

All registered competitors will have access to a FREE No-Gi Leg Lock Seminar with renowned grappler Sean Applegate from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM. There is absolutely no additional charge to attend. 

TUG Qualifier

For Advanced No-Gi athletes, this is also your opportunity to earn your spot in the Ultimate Grappler Finale 2026 on November 7th in Coral Springs, FL., where competitors will battle for a $5,000 Grand Prize. 

Global Grappling Championship – Match Format

To encourage more submissions and exciting matches, the Global Grappling Championship will use the following match times:

  • Youth Group 1 (Ages 11 & Under) – Novice (White & Grey/White Belts): 2 Minutes
  • Youth Groups 1 & 2 (Ages 17 & Under) – Beginner & Intermediate (White, Grey & Yellow Belts): 4 Minutes
  • Youth Groups 1 & 2 (Ages 17 & Under) – Advanced (Orange, Green, Blue & Purple Belts): 4 Minutes
  • Adult Men & Women (Ages 18–29) – Beginner (White Belt): 4 Minutes
  • Executive Men (Ages 30–39) – All Skill Levels & Belt Levels: 4 Minutes
  • Masters Men (Ages 40+) – All Skill Levels & Belt Levels: 4 Minutes
  • Adult Men & Women (Ages 18–29) – Intermediate (Blue Belt): 6 Minutes
  • Adult Men & Women (Ages 18–29) – Advanced (Purple, Brown & Black Belts): 6 Minutes
  • Absolute Divisions: 8 Minutes

Submission-Only / Points Format

For every division, the first half of the match is submission-only, meaning the match may only be won by submission during this period.

At the halfway point, the match transitions to points, and all standard scoring rules go into effect for the remainder of the match.

Guard Pulling Requirement

A competitor may only pull guard after first establishing a legitimate upper-body grip or tie on their opponent. Acceptable control includes grips such as a collar tie, two-on-one, wrist control, or another clearly established controlling connection.

A competitor who sits to guard before establishing control will be penalized for passivity or lack of engagement.

Important: Grips or control below the waist alone do not satisfy this requirement. A valid upper-body controlling grip or tie must be established before pulling guard.
