Description

For the first time ever, NEWBREED is coming to Cleveland! Join us for the Cleveland New Year Open on Saturday, January 30, 2027, at the Sports Plant.

With gi and nogi divisions for all ages and skill levels, there’s a place for you on the mat. Whether you’re competing for the first time or you’re a seasoned athlete, come put your skills to the test.

The top three athletes in each division will receive custom medals, and first-place winners in advanced divisions will earn the NJJF Championship Belt.

Ready for the ultimate challenge? Enter the nogi absolute division and compete for the title of Absolute Champion, regardless of weight class. The winner will also secure a spot at The Ultimate Grappler Finale.

Team points will determine the top three youth teams, the top three adult teams, and the overall team champion. All seven teams will receive an award banner for their academy, and the first-place teams will take home a custom NJJF trophy.
