Regulations Lichtstad Open SAMBO 2026

Sport- and Combat SAMBO

1. Generalities

1. The Lichtstad Open SAMBO shall be held in accordance with the current International Sambo Rules approved by the International Sambo Federation (FIAS). 
2. The Lichtstad Open SAMBO will be held in accordance with the current regulations of the International Sambo Federation (FIAS).
3. The Lichtstad Open SAMBO will be organized by the Dutch Sambo Federation (DSF) under auspices of the KNKF.
4. The Lichtstad Open SAMBO is held to popularize and develop SAMBO in the Netherlands, Europe and the World. 

2. Competition organizers

1. General management of the organization and holding of the Lichtstad Open SAMBO 2026 shall be the responsibility of the Dutch Sambo Federation (DSF)

3. Dates and venue

1. The Lichtsad Open SAMBO will be held on November 28, 2026
2. Competition venue: Indoor Sportcentrum Eindhoven, Theo Koomenlaan 1, 5644 HZ Eindhoven
3. Accreditation of the participants of the Lichtstad Open SAMBO will be held at the Sportshall.
4. The participants of the Lichtstad Open SAMBO should find accommodation themselves

4. Terms of participation

1. All athletes who are member of a club affiliated with their National Sambo Federation (NSF), have the right to participate in the Lichtstad Open SAMBO 2026.
2. Registration of delegations to the Lichtstad Open SAMBO 2026 shall be done through the electronic system SMOOTHCOMP. 
3. The deadline for registration in the Database is 7 November 2026. *Athletes who did not pay the registration fee or contacted the organization by this date will be deleted from the registration list!*
4. The delegation of each Sambo club must bring at least 1 referee, if the number of athletes in the delegation exceeds 5 people (More referees are welcome!).

NOTES:
* Athletes born in 2008 may be admitted to participate in competitions among adults. Please let us know to arrange it, because you only have to pay registration once. 
** Categories with insufficient participation, will be put together.

5. Technical specifications

1. The Lichtstad Open SAMBO 2026 shall be held in accordance with the International SAMBO Competition Rules.
2. The draw will be conducted automatically. 
3. Sport SAMBO official competitions shall be held with the system of round robin or distribution into groups, elimination and repechage for everyone. Everything depending on the number of participants. 
4. Combat SAMBO official competitions shall be held with the system of distribution into groups and elimination without repechage bouts. 
5. Team medal count is conducted unofficially according to the Olympic principle (without awards). 
6. The Organizing Committee guarantees to provide all the participants with first aid (if necessary). 
7. Each athlete must provide to the accreditation commission a copy of life insurance policy against accidents (abroad). Insurance of the participants is carried out at the expense of the sending organizations. 
8. Each athlete must have a sambo uniform (red/blue). If you don't have sambo uniforms you can order on www.dutchsamboinnovation.nl. 

6. Visa applications

1. We will NOT provide visa support for this tournament.

7. Financial terms

1. Signing up obligates you to pay the registration fee. 
2. The delegations have to pay the participation fee (if registered before 7th of November 2026) in the amount of € 30,00 per competitor. 
3. In case of late registration (after 7th of November 2026) and if the registration is approved by the organization committee the participation fee will be raised with € 10,- per competitor / discipline.
4. If athletes who live in the Netherlands are not a member of the Dutch Sambo Federation they will need a day license of € 10,-
5. Coaches need to register! The Dutch Sambo Federation must pay a fee of € 10,- per person to the Lichtstad Open organization for all athletes and coaches.
6. The organization committee does not provide accommodation. 
7. All additional expenses are paid by each participant independently. 
8. The Heads of Delegations shall settle all financial issues prior to arrival at accreditation by Stripe checkout or by Bank (IBAN) and meet accreditation requirements on the day of arrival.

1. Athletes who win prizes are awarded with medals or cups.
2. A red SAMBO uniform is required at the official ceremonies.
