Format: The Kingston Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Invitational is a double elimination tournament. To provide the best experience for every division, smaller brackets may be run as best-of-three or round robin, depending on the number of competitors.
Age Standards: Age 4 and Up
White Belt Points Only Divisions: A beginner-friendly division where matches are won by points only, with no submissions permitted. The goal is to help new competitors build confidence, learn the scoring system, and gain competition experience in a safe and supportive environment.

IMPORTANT DATES
Early Bird registration deadline: 31 March (11:59 pm)
Normal registration deadline: 15 May (11:59 pm)
Late registration deadline: 23 May (11:59 pm)
Check Day (last day to change weight without fee) is the Wednesday before the event.
Merging of uncontested divisions will happen the Wednesday before the event.
The schedule will be published the Thursday before the event.
Doors Open/Weigh-ins begin: Day of event (8:00 am)
Matches Begin: Day of event (9:30 am)
SPECTATOR FEE:
All spectators over the age of 12 years old must have a spectator pass. Passes may be purchased at the door upon entry of the venue.
The Kingston Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Invitational is committed to providing a safe, clean, and respectful competition environment for all athletes.
All competitors are expected to maintain a high standard of personal hygiene before stepping onto the competition area.
Competitors must:
Skin Infections Athletes showing signs of a contagious skin condition—including, but not limited to, ringworm, impetigo, staph infections, herpes gladiatorum, or other communicable skin diseases—will not be permitted to compete.
Tournament staff and medical personnel reserve the right to inspect any suspected skin condition. The Tournament Director has final authority regarding an athlete's eligibility to compete. Medical documentation may be requested but does not guarantee clearance to participate if the condition is deemed contagious.
Equipment & Uniforms
Global Combat Jiu-jitsu TORONTO is conducted under SJJIF rules, with a strong emphasis on fair competition and athlete safety.
Sandbagging—intentionally competing below one’s true skill level—is strictly prohibited.
Violations may result in:
Any athlete found sandbagging will be immediately disqualified from World Championship qualification.
Athletes and coaches are responsible for ensuring correct registration.
All competitors and coaches must hold a valid Sport Jiu-Jitsu Canada Federation (SJJCANF) membership.
