Regulations DSI Dutch Open 2027

Sport- and Combat SAMBO

1. Generalities

1. The DSI Dutch Open SAMBO shall be held in accordance with the current International Sambo Rules approved by the International Sambo Federation (FIAS). 
2. The DSI Dutch Open SAMBO will be held in accordance with the current regulations of the International Sambo Federation (FIAS).
3. The DSI Dutch Open SAMBO will be organized by the Dutch Sambo Federation (DSF) / Budo Promotion Ommen (BPO) under auspices of the KNKF.
4. The DSI Dutch Open SAMBO is held to popularize and develop SAMBO in the Europe and the World. And furthermore to consolidate international sports relations.

2. Competition organizers

1. General management of the organization and holding of the Dutch Open SAMBO 2027 shall be the responsibility of the Dutch Sambo Federation (DSF) / Budo Promotion Ommen (BPO).

3. Dates and venue

1. The DSI Dutch Open SAMBO will be held from March 5 to 8, 2027
2. Competition venue: Sportshall ‘Trefkoele Plus’, Ruigedoornstraat 108, 7721 BR Dalfsen (NL)
3. Accreditation of the participants of the DSI Dutch Open SAMBO will be held at the Sportshall.
4. The participants of the DSI Dutch Open SAMBO should find accommodation themselves
5. The referees who will come to help make the Dutch Open SAMBO 2027 a success can stay with their team or can be accommodated in Emsland Sport en Recreatie, Emslandweg 17, 7731 RP Ommen, www.emsland-ommen.nl. If accommodated at Emsland, please let us know a.s.a.p.!

4. Terms of participation

1. Clubs who are member of their National Sambo Federation (NSF), affiliated with the International Sambo Federation (FIAS), have the right to participate in the Dutch Open SAMBO 2027.
2. Registration of delegations to the Dutch Open SAMBO 2027 shall be done through the electronic system SMOOTHCOMP. 
3. The deadline for normal registration in the Database is 14 February 2027. Payment deadline for normal registration is also 14 February 2027. If payment will be in cash at the weigh-in you need to confirm that before the deadline by e-mail, otherwise the registration will be deleted from the tournament. 
4. The deadline for late registration in the Database is 1 March 2027 with identical payment conditions.
5. The delegation of each National Sambo Federation must bring at least 1 referee, if the number of athletes in the delegation exceeds 5 people (More referees are welcome!).

NOTES:
⁎ Athletes of the kids age category may be admitted to participate in competitions among cadets (for admission the athlete must be born in 2013). Athletes of the cadet age category may be admitted to participate in competitions among youth (for admission, the athlete must be born in 2011). Athletes born in 2009 may be admitted to participate in competitions among adults, while registration in the SmoothComp Database and payment occurs for each age category separately.
⁎⁎ The weigh-in procedure is carried out in accordance with the program for competition day separately (if an athlete competes on two days, he/she must undergo the weigh-in procedure accordingly for each day).
*** Categories with insufficient participation, will be put together.

5. Technical specifications

1. The Dutch Open SAMBO 2027 shall be held in accordance with the International SAMBO Competition Rules.
2. The draw will be conducted automatically. 
3. Sport SAMBO competitions shall be held with the system of distribution into groups, elimination but everyone gets a second chance. 
4. Combat SAMBO competitions shall be held with the system of distribution into groups and elimination without repechage bouts. 
5. Team medal count is conducted unofficially according to the Olympic principle (without awards). 
6. The Organizing Committee guarantees to provide all the participants with first aid (if necessary). 
7. Each athlete must provide to the accreditation commission a copy of life insurance policy against accidents (abroad). Insurance of the participants is carried out at the expense of the sending organizations. 
8. Each athlete must have a sambo uniform (red/blue). Recommended is a uniform with a FIAS license and a backnumber in full compliance with FIAS requirements on the back of his sambo uniform consisting of his surname and the abbreviation of his country's name or FIAS abbreviation as decided by FIAS. Sambo shoes must be red or blue (same as sambo uniform) or red/blue combined. 

6. Visa applications

1. All participants who require a visa to enter the Netherlands must apply for a visa at the Consular sections of the Embassy of the Netherlands in their country. The visa fee for entry to the Netherlands, which can be arranged for each participant, must be paid independently by the National Sambo Federation or the individual participant. The cost of the visa fee may vary from country to country. Dutch Sambo Federation will provide the necessary visa support, subject to prior notification, until 14 January 2027. 

7. Financial terms

1. Signing up obligates you to pay the registration fee. 
2. The delegations have to pay the participation fee (if registered before 14th of February 2027) in the amount of € 30,00 per competitor / discipline. If payment will be in cash at the weigh-in, you need to confirm that before the deadline by e-mail, otherwise the registration will be deleted from the tournament. 
3. In case of late registration (after 14th of February 2027) and if the registration is approved by the organization committee the participation fee will be € 40,00 per competitor / discipline. 
4. The organization committee does not provide accommodation. A list of possible accommodations for accommodating the delegation is provided under page 'Accommodation'. 
5. All additional expenses are paid by each participant independently. 
6. The Heads of Delegations shall settle all financial issues before 14th of February or inform the organization when payment will be made on the day of arrival.

8. Awarding

1. Athletes who win prizes are awarded with medals and diplomas.
2. A red SAMBO uniform is required at the official ceremonies.
3. The prize fund of the Dutch Open SAMBO amounts to 5000 euro and is made available by Fight Wear Zone en Dutch Sambo Innovations. Athletes in adult categories with 8 or more physically present competing athletes can win prize money this year.
