What divisions are offered?
Male and female divisions include Pre-Mirim, Mirim, Infantil, Infanto-Juvenil, ages 4–5, 6–7, 8–9, 10–11, 12–13, 14–15, Juvenile ages 16–17, Adult ages 18–29, Master 1, 2 & 3 combined, and Master 4, 5 & 6+ combined.
What medals and awards are given?
Festival Kids ages 4–12 have recreational activities and matches without rankings, and all participants receive a gold medal. In each weight division, gold, silver, and two bronze medals will be awarded.
How does the Open Class cash prize work?
Open Class cash prizes are based on registered athletes in each division: 100% with at least 10 athletes, 50% with 7 to 9 athletes, and 30% with 2 to 6 athletes. Divisions with only one registered athlete are not eligible, at least one match must take place, and athletes must hold a valid 2026 membership.
What are the champion prize amounts for Open Class?
Champion prizes are €350 for Black Belt Adult & Master, €300 for Brown Belt Adult & Master, €250 for Purple Belt Adult & Master, €200 for Blue Belt Adult, Master & Juvenile, and €150 for White Belt Adult, Master & Juvenile.
What are the weigh-in and uniform requirements?
Athletes must weigh in without the belt and without the kimono jacket top. Reinforced kimonos are permitted up to 9 years of age; from 10 years old onward, competitors must wear woven braided weave kimonos.
