Youth Scrimmage open to participants 7 to 17 years old

Required Equipent:

1) Boxing gloves - Non-pro boxing wraps, coaches’ choice.

2) Cloth Shin guards (must be covered with GI pants, or open only when using Muay Thai shorts

3) Mouthguard

4) Full guard or open chin boxing helmet

5) Groin cup (male), Chest guard (female)

6) Chest protector for specific age groups and experience level

Ballistic Games Scrimmage — USA Kids Muay Thai Rules

Ages 7–17 | No Winners. No Losers.

Athletes are matched by age, weight, size, skill, and experience.

Each fight consists of 3 × 1-minute rounds, with a 30-second break between rounds.

Controlled punches, kicks, knees, and clinching are permitted.

Head strikes are allowed only with prior agreement from both parties and with appropriate protective equipment.

Roundhouse kicks to the head are permitted with controlled, non-excessive force.

Straight kicks to the face are prohibited, including front kicks, teeps, side kicks, and spinning straight kicks.

No elbows or strikes to the groin, throat, spine, or back of the head.

No knees to the face or head.

Knees to the body during the clinch are permitted.

Clinching is limited to 3 seconds.

Basic Muay Thai sweeps are permitted.

Excessive or uncontrolled contact is prohibited.

The referee may pause or stop the fight at any time for safety.

No scoring — no winner or loser is declared.

Both athletes are recognized at the end of the fight.

Respect, control, sportsmanship, and skill development come first.
