Development. Safety. Sportsmanship. Community.

The Solid Series Muay Thai Scrimmage is designed to provide beginner and developing athletes with a safe, professional, and supportive environment to gain valuable live experience. Whether this is your very first time competing in front of a crowd or another step toward future competition goals, our focus remains the same:

This event is ideal for:

  • Athletes preparing for their first sanctioned bout
  • Students looking to gain ring composure and confidence
  • Developing competitors building experience
  • Coaches seeking a positive and organized experience for their athletes
  • Gyms looking to strengthen relationships within the Muay Thai community

Unlike traditional fight events or smokers that prioritize wins and losses, Solid Series events are structured around education and athlete growth. Our goal is to help athletes become more comfortable performing under pressure while learning how to apply their skills in a live Muay Thai setting.

What Makes Solid Series Different?

Carefully Matched Bouts

All matches are pre-matched based on:

  • Experience level
  • Weight
  • Age (when applicable)
  • Skill and training background
  • Coach input
  • AGL number (aggression level)

Our goal is to create fair, educational, and competitive matchups that allow both athletes to learn and succeed.

Development-Focused Environment

This is a developmental scrimmage, not a win-at-all-costs event.

  • No official winners or losers are declared
  • Every bout is recorded as a draw
  • Athletes are evaluated on technique, timing, balance, composure, and control
  • Coaches receive scorecards and technical feedback following each bout

We want athletes leaving the event more motivated, more experienced, and more confident than when they arrived.

Safety First

Athlete safety is the highest priority at every Solid Series event.

  • Experienced referees and officials oversee all matches
  • Controlled intensity is expected throughout all bouts
  • Rules are specifically designed to reduce unnecessary damage while preserving authentic Muay Thai technique
  • Officials may stop or pause action at any time for athlete safety

Professional Event Experience

We aim to give athletes a professional and organized experience while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for first-time competitors. Participants can expect:

  • Designated warm-up areas
  • Organized staging and bout flow
  • Experienced event staff and volunteers
  • Professional ring setup and equipment
  • Clear communication throughout the day

For many athletes, this serves as an important bridge between regular gym sparring and future sanctioned competition.

Coach & Cornerman Standards

Coaches and cornermen play a major role in the environment we create. All participating coaches are expected to:

  • Support athlete safety and development
  • Promote professionalism and sportsmanship
  • Respect officials, staff, and opposing teams
  • Help maintain controlled intensity during bouts

We are committed to building events that reflect positively on the growth and culture of Muay Thai.

Building the Muay Thai Community

One of the core goals of Solid Series is to strengthen the regional Muay Thai community by bringing gyms together in a positive environment centered around learning and growth.

These events create opportunities for:

  • Athletes from different Muay Thai schools to connect
  • Coaches to build relationships
  • New competitors to gain confidence
  • Teams to support one another in a respectful setting

We believe Muay Thai grows strongest when athletes can challenge themselves while still feeling supported by the wider community around them.
