LEGENDARY Title Qualifiers Divisions
The Legendary Title Qualifiers Divisions is an open-rank, open-weight category for Masters athletes aged 30+.
This division is designed for top-performing Masters competitors pursuing the LEGENDARY Title, awarded annually at AVA THRONE.
- Throne III (2027): The #1 and #2 ranked athletes in each category (Male Gi, Female Gi, Male No-Gi, Female No-Gi) face off for the inaugural LEGENDARY Title.
- From 2028 onward: The reigning LEGENDARY Title Holder defends the belt annually against the Season’s #1 ranked challenger.
Only available as an additional division.
SUMMARY
AVA is a submission-only, round robin tournament with AVA overtime.
Each Adult competitor may enter up to six divisions, while Youth competitors may enter a maximum of four, while each Youth competitor is invited to enter up to four divisions.
Tournament Date:
- Early Weigh-ins - September 25 | Auditorium - 3310 37th Ave Vernon, BC V1T 2T5 Saturday 6 pm - 7pm
- Youths - Adults and Masters - Sunday September 28 | Doors open at 8:00 AM and the tournament starts at 9:00 AM
- Spectator Entry per day: $20 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. This includes family and friends. Competitors aged 17 and under may bring ONE parent or guardian at no additional cost.

REFUNDS AND CREDIT POLICY
NEW! Refund Protection Insurance (Optional)
Athletes may purchase Refund Protection Insurance for $10 at the time of registration. This coverage allows a full refund up to the day before the tournament in the event of injury, travel delays, or other unforeseen circumstances. Refund Protection must be purchased during registration and is non-refundable once issued.
1. Refunds minus a 5% service fee and credits are available through self-service until the normal registration deadline. From the normal registration deadline until the late registration deadline, ONLY coupon credits will be provided as compensation.
2. Refunds and credits will not be available AFTER the late registration deadline (Sept. 21).
3. Refunds and credits will not be issued for no-shows or withdrawal from participation due to sickness, injuries, or bereavement AFTER the registration closing date (Sept. 21), regardless of supporting evidence.
4. If a participant is left without a match-up, they will receive a FULL REFUND or credit. Alternatively, they may choose to collect ranking points for the season along with the award.
WHITE BELT 6 MONTHS AND UNDER DIVISION
New to Jiu-jitsu? We have a 6 months and under White Belt Division to give new competitors the chance to compete fairly against other competitors new to Jiu-Jitsu.
COACHES
There will be a chair provided for the coach of each competitor. The barricaded area is restricted to only staff, competitors, and registered coaches.
One coach is allowed for every three competitors from their team. Additional coaches will need to pay the spectator fee of $15.
