As a beginner in BJJ, this gym has allowed to me fulfill and partake in something that has caught my eye for years. The Professor Marcus A and Joseph have shown me nothing but love and care throughout my progress. They are kind, caring , and are nothing but genuine people. I have been telling all of my peers about it and I’m telling you reading this! Don’t wait !

Our old gym closed recently, so our group from the 6:00am classes were looking for a new place to train. We came to MA and it has been a great experience. Professor Marcus and his Instructors welcomed us in and treated us like family from day one. The training is detailed, disciplined, and structured, and is accessible for all levels. There is a good mix of experience levels in the gym, and everyone is willing to teach and help you develop in jiu jitsu. Professor Marcus and the Instructors genuinely care about your development and put a lot of work in to make sure you are grasping and retaining the concepts, as well as advancing. The environment is unbeatable. I'm glad we found MA and look forward to training here for many years to come!

I was in Dallas for just one night and wanted to find a place to train. A really good friend I was staying with is a member at this gym, so we decided to get after it. It turned out to be a great experience. The class size was solid, especially for a Friday evening. The coach was skilled and very thorough in his instruction. I’d definitely recommend this gym and plan to come back the next time I’m in Dallas.

My husband and I trained here a few times, Marcus and his wife Victoria are very welcoming and kind hearted people. Marcus truly cares about your jiu-jitsu journey and goes the extra miles to make sure you understand the technique. We would definitely go there and train if we didn't live so far away! If you are in the area, looking for great BJJ – MA BJJ is absolutely the way to go!

This gym has a great Professor who is well known for running a reputable BJJ gym with high ethics and quality instruction. I have been training BJJ a few years and am looking to potentially make a move so I took a trial advanced class and was very impressed at the high level of instruction and detail that was taught by Professor Antelante. I liked that he selected our training and rolling partners. All the people I trained with were excellent training partners for me and I felt very safe and cared for. Professor Antelante demonstrated the move and then walked around and helped all the students and watched us roll very carefully and provided encouragement and feedback. He also took time after class to get to know me and he is a legend so I found that to be very cool! As I woman, I felt like part of the team and although I went to a nogi class, which typically attracts more men, there were 3 women there! Everyone was friendly and nice and I would highly recommend this gym!

Got to drop in today with my mat brothers Jesse and Connor. Very welcoming and inviting gym in total from the owner/ professor and the students. World class technique from Marcus Everytime I’ve dropped in. Great detail and positions/ submissions. All levels from beginners to very high level. Always a great class and very challenging rolls! Amazing gym over all 100/10. Would recommend to people trying jiu jitsu for the first time, beginners and The highest level competitors.

A few of my friends dropped in on an a women's class lead by Professor Victoria and were later welcomed to join one of the regular classes lead by Professor Marcus. Both classes had functional warm ups, plenty of time to drill the techniques being taught that day and also plenty of time to get in some rolls with a wide variety of skill levels. Both Professors and their students were super welcoming, there was plenty of mat space and facility was clean. Excited for the next all women's training opportunity and to bring my Husband for a regular class!

We were not able to make it out to our normal class which was an hour away. We found MABJJAcademy. Professor Marcus was very welcoming as we arrived and let my kids drop into class. Kids had a great warm up and class focus of detailed takedown. Followed by a pretty technical sweep for the bigger kids. Good to very good gaurd player kids to roll with. My kids left with sweaty and a large smile from working hard. We will definately return for classes and rolls!

Exceptional Jiu Jitsu Training Experience (Blue Belt 👋) I recently had the pleasure of trying out a Jiu Jitsu session, and I must say, it was an experience worth raving about. From the moment I stepped into the warm-up, I knew I was in for something special. The warm-up routine was structured like that of champions, setting the tone for what was to come. Coach Marcus and his team were not only incredibly helpful but also highly knowledgeable, making the training session not just efficient but also educational. Their expertise shone through in every aspect, from technique breakdowns to personalized guidance. What truly impressed me was the seamless flow of the training session. Each drill seamlessly transitioned into the next, ensuring a continuous and engaging experience throughout. The Jiu Jitsu training itself was nothing short of amazing, providing a perfect balance of challenge and enjoyment. I cannot recommend this Jiu Jitsu training enough. Whether you're a seasoned practitioner or a complete beginner, Coach Marcus and his team will undoubtedly elevate your skills and leave you eager for more.

I am in town visiting for 2 weeks while my child is at camp. I decided to check out this gym to continue training while here. I cannot say enough good things about it!!! I was incredibly nervous but every single member was welcoming and friendly. I have a few injuries and could not do some of the warm-ups which for me is embarrassing, but no one looked down on it. Professor Antelante is one of the most welcoming and knowledgeable instructors I have ever worked with. He made me feel incredibly comfortable and everyone was willing to work with me. I would HIGHLY recommend this gym, especially if you want to up your game. I learned things I’d never done before and cannot be more grateful. I will be looking into traveling down and training with them on a yearly basis. Thank you all!!!!! Words cannot adequately express my gratitude……

It's the best decision I every made. I've been to several Jitsu Academies and let me tell you. You will experience pure quality training. My money and time was well spent. Marcus Antelante is very humble man and keeps it professional. He has no favorites and he treats everyone with respect. He studies each individual student and puts time and effort to make them feel confident. I haven't been here long and already see some progress in my son. God answered my prayers when I asked to help me find someone who can engage with my son and make him feel like he gets it. He normally shuts down, but he listens and executes. All the Jiu Jitsu practitioners are highly skilled. I can't find one student who isn't challenging. I mean this on all belt levels. I'm proud your'e Adam's Professor, World Class Jiu Jitsu and THE BEST at what you do. Much respect! Barbara Requena Barbara Requena

I have been a part of Jiu Jitsu pretty much my entire life, and I have been to many gyms, but Marcus Antelante’s gym offers something that most gyms in the dfw area do not offer. Great Training Partners. My skill level has dramatically increased since I have been a member of Marcus’s gym, where I have already won multiple titles in different tournaments around the country. I could not have gotten where I am now without the help of Marcus and my teammates. The training that is offered here is superior to most gyms around the area. The MA BJJ Academy is a rare find. The team is extremely high level and competitive, but they take the time to explain the techniques in an easily digestible manner. I have been training for a few years now - and some of the fundamentals I re-learned during my opportunity to train at MABJJ significantly improved my game. All of this, and the team is welcoming - a lot of gyms have cliques and you spend the first months training in isolation. Walking into this gym, feels like coming home at Thanksgiving.

I’ve had the privilege of training at many academies all over he world. Very few teams enjoy the level of instruction offered at MABJJ and the quality is evident in their students (dozens of world champions from world class black belts to talented blue belts.) everyone is always friendly when I visit and it’s not uncommon to stay a couple hours working technique or just having fun and telling stories.

This is a really unique BJJ school. The level of instruction is high and the level of rolling/training partners is high. Its the perfect school for a serious competitor or a beginner and you have a roster of lower to upper belts that you can easily progress and push yourself. The people are incredibly friendly but still train hard which is the perfect combo.
