A really great JiuJitsu gym with its heart in the right place and a very good atmosphere. I had the opportunity to attend a no-gi class with John (Blackbelt). Top structured training, great vibes and nice students. Gabi, the manager of the gym, was extremely friendly and treated us like family. We felt very comfortable. Anytime and gladly again!
This is somewhere you can call home, their welcoming and kind and just overall the most loving gym I have ever been to. I love that you get taught by the main professor very often, my kiddo loves it here (Age 11). I have seen a huge personality change since we started here, she never wants to leave, shes very happy to go train its amazing!
This gym is the ideal place to learn for beginners. Great instruction, higher level belts roll with you regularly, everyone overall is super helpful with answering questions about technique. Super clean, changing rooms, weight room, big mat space. Also like the fact they don’t make you sign long contracts and it’s month to month. Only thing I wish is they had no gi classes available to beginners. Great school nonetheless and highly recommend to beginners!
Best training in DFW! This place has become my new home. Everyone is very welcoming and encouraging. A great learning environment for all levels, men AND WOMEN. As someone who used to train, it was hard to find the right place to start again but from day one they had detailed training and showed their true professionalism. The gym is also clean and organized. Joao and Gabbi have created something much more than just a gym, they created a sanctuary.
Moved here as a purple belt a or so ago. I’ve been doing jiu jitsu at 2 other academy's and this is by far, the most prestigious and world renown. If i could give this more than 5 stars i would. The instructor is easily one of the most kind, caring, and personable people i’ve met in my life. As far as instructing, he is a multiple time adult black belt world champion in the gi and without. Extremely knowledgeable, and one of the best coaches in the world. Couldn’t recommend this academy enough.

My wife has been training at this gym for years, and my daughter has just recently started training. I have attended multiple belt promotions and tournaments with the team. Joao, the coach/world champion/owner, has always been very respectful, not only to myself, but everyone that's around him. He treats his students as family and focuses on everyone in training, not just the top belts. I have been to other gyms with my wife, no other gym comes close to the respect I have for Joao, Gabby, and Alliance Jiu Jitsu Dallas. I would recommend this gym to beginners or experienced competitors 100 out of 100 times.
Great spot to learn. Awesome people and community. This gym was recommended when I moved up from Houston, I train there and my kids do too. The kids classes are a great outlet for energy and good way for them to learn discipline and respect. The gym is a family, tons of support and comradery.
Been training here over a year, after multiple years in BJJ, and I feel really fortunate to have landed here. Head coach Joao really surrounds himself with good people, and really makes sure his positive attitude is the foundation of the gym itself. I never feel pressured or pushing to do anything I don't want to do, and time here is the best part of my week.

Alliance Jiu-Jitsu Dallas is simply put the BEST!!! My husband has trained in Martial Arts the majority of his life. I have trained in many gyms through the DFW area and have never practiced at a more high level yet inviting gym. The quality of instruction is top notch as well as the quality of human beings that run the gym. The coach is a world champion but treats you as a best friend. Always makes time to make sure you are doing well in Jiujitsu and in life. I drive over an hour every day to practice at this gym because there is no other like it. Being a women in jiu-jitsu it is difficult to find a gym where you feel fully safe and respected. João and Gabriela Rocha go above and beyond to make sure all of their students feel comfortable and at home. I am now a proud Brown belt under this team and now have my three year old daughter thriving in their kids program. Definitely a school worth visiting.

I tried 6 different gyms in the DFW before i settled for this Alliance. The very high level coaching and knowledge is unmatched. The camaraderie between people in this gym is also amazing. I have no problem recommending this gym to anyone i come into contact with. The facilities are top notch and are only going to improve! Joao Gabriel Rocha is the best! Just started going here with my son and we are addicted. It’s such a great workout and I feel stronger after only a month! The instructor is a 5 time world champion and really knows how to treat the white belts that come in. I can easily say this is the best Jujitsu in the DFW area.

They broke my son’s arm during his first visit! The coach/owner was out of town and let’s their brown belt students teach classes - they are not even certified. Their brown belt “student teacher” used an inappropriate move during their practice class that broke my son’s arm - who’s a white belt. The owners didn’t know what to do, we rushed my son to the ER and the owners never bothered contacting us to see if he was okay or take report of what actually happened. Later we came back to share that our son now is disabled and they apologized and promised a conversation with us and their student but they NEVER contacted us again. During that convo - another brown belt student agreed that move was dangerous and inappropriate on a lower belt student. Found out this isn’t their first hard injury. I DO NOT recommend this dojo - the owners (husband & wife) are not prepared to run this practice properly and have no management plan in case of emergency even after this second injury at their dojo.
